The witness was working in a crawl space beneath a house in daylight when he noticed movement outside. On the last occasion he saw the back of a dark lower leg and foot about 30 feet away moving silently out of view. He described the figure as human-like and estimated its height at eight feet or more.

Possible nighttime sighting and vocalizations in a backyard near Old Ripley
The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.
Deer hunter sees and hears a large hairy biped from his tree stand near Shellman
The witness was alone hunting deer from an elevated stand before sunrise when a strong musty odor grew stronger. He then noticed a tall, hairy biped partly concealed behind a large tree about 25 yards away, swaying from side to side and making short low grunts. After he glanced away to reach for his scoped gun he heard it moving through the woods, and when he looked back it had disappeared.
Late afternoon sighting by a hog hunter outside Pierson
The witness claims that while hog hunting near a roadside ditch, he saw a large brown bipedal creature crouching by the road. The creature reportedly stood, walked back and forth across the road, then crouched again before walking away on two legs toward a swamp. The encounter included heavy footsteps and a strong wild-hog-like odor and reportedly lasted about a minute.

The witness and a companion were driving home in late morning when they saw a dark stocky figure crossing a bridge. The figure was viewed from the side and was partly blocked by a bridge post, with arms swinging widely. They could not see its face but noted a cone-shaped head.

The witness was walking his two dogs behind his house in the early evening when the dogs froze staring at the woods and then fled inside. The witness then watched what he first thought was a 3- to 4-foot stump stand up into a 7- to 8-foot hair-covered biped. Four friends camped overnight near a river. After a distant yelp, a companion reported seeing a large shape by the river that could not be made out in the dark. Later the two awake witnesses heard a loud knock on a tree near camp and then bipedal footsteps circling the tent, including contact brushing the tent, before the sounds moved away. A daylight check found no tracks.
Private contractor spots a tall tree-peeker during a meeting outside Orlando
The witness was attending a daytime work meeting at a remote construction site southeast of Orlando when he noticed movement along a distant tree line. He watched a large hair-covered bipedal figure peek from behind trees as if observing the group, then walk away on two legs after a couple minutes. Shortly after the meeting he inspected the spot and found crushed undergrowth and a trail, estimating the figure's height at about eight feet by comparing to tree limbs. No other members of the group appeared to notice the figure.

While camping, the witness walked with a flashlight across a bridge at night and saw a pair of large yellow eyes blocking a gate reflector. After watching eye movements and a dark shape, the witness fled to camp, returned with a companion, and saw the same eyes approaching on another road while the companion saw nothing. The pair searched by vehicle without finding it, and a later site visit involved re-creation measurements.
Possible sighting at dawn near road kill on US-192 east of Holopaw
The witness was driving to collect her husband after he hit an alligator and disabled his car. As she slowed at sunrise to photograph the carcass, she noticed a dark figure about a block away moving away from the road into the woods. She first thought it was a ranch hand but later interpreted it as a possible Skunk Ape drawn to the roadkill.
Camper sighting at night, rocks thrown, on North Fork of Coeur d'Alene River near Enaville
After finishing dinner while camping, the witness and a companion were sitting by the fire when their dogs ran into the woods and returned frightened. The witness illuminated a large dark figure leaning from behind a tree about 30 feet away. A large rock was then thrown from the woods over the fire between the two people, the witness fired two shots into the air, and the figure was heard moving, breaking a tree, splashing across the creek, and ascending the opposite hillside. The pair left most gear behind, drove home, and returned the next morning to recover equipment and examine the broken tree.
Late afternoon sighting of a road crossing on Hwy 52 north of Dubuque
The witness was driving home from work in the late afternoon when a dark hairy figure crossed the highway and leapt over a guard cable into thick brush. As passing the spot, the witness saw its shoulder and raised arm, noting a tall muscular build and cone-shaped head. The witness turned back to search but the figure was gone, and no tracks were found on a return visit the next day.
Odor in New Mexico (2011)
The witness and her husband were camping on their property when she smelled a strong pungent odor. They took weapons and walked toward the forest side. They saw coyote-like animals and something huge and black bent over, which vanished when she looked away momentarily.
Sighting at dawn by bear hunter in the Cowiche wilderness area
The witness sat concealed near a watering hole before sunrise to watch and photograph deer and elk. After about 30 minutes an upright figure appeared over 100 yards away behind a fallen tree, showing its upper body for about 45 seconds before slipping behind a large tree out of view. The witness stayed longer, photographed deer, then inspected the spot and estimated size from the fallen tree but found no tracks.
