The witness was driving on I-5 past Rice Hill on a dark, rainy Sunday night with high beams on. They saw a figure sitting on the roadside embankment in a fetal-like posture and made eye contact from less than 20 yards away. As the car passed, the figure stood up very tall and walked away north along the interstate, convincing the witness it was not a stranded person.

The witness's friend and the friend's former spouse were driving home around midnight after Christmas shopping. They saw a tall figure standing by a barbed-wire fence, watched it with a spotlight as it walked downhill, stopping to turn its whole body to look back. The guest was deer hunting from a power line easement and was walking back to the truck in late afternoon when a baseball-sized rock hit his chest and a creature screamed and ran toward him. He dropped his rifle, reached the truck, and when the creature came over the truck bed within feet while screaming, he shot it with a pistol above the left eye. The creature screamed and fled through the woods, and as he drove away a soccer-ball-sized rock struck his truck.

The witness and his brother were cutting firewood near a river when the witness noticed movement on a distant slope across the river. After losing it briefly, the witness watched through binoculars as a bulky dark-haired figure walked upright downhill for about 100 yards. About half an hour later while loading the truck in near-darkness, the witness heard an unfamiliar high-pitched squealing noise from upriver.

While elk hunting on a snowy open hillside, the witness watched a hairy upright creature walking rapidly away from about 100 yards for a minute or more. The creature was short, about 5-foot-6, with a large barrel chest, long arms, dark brown hair, stooped posture and long bent-knee strides. The witness's adult son was traversing the hillside nearby but did not see the animal.

Late on a cold fall night, the witness walked out of a separate laundry building at a rural apartment complex and saw a human-like creature about 20 feet away searching through a dumpster under bright lot lights. The two looked at each other briefly, then the witness ran toward the apartment, fell on a gravel road, and looked back to see the creature running away about 200 feet distant.

In November 1997 the witness looked from an upstairs window and saw two gray upright figures at the woods edge about 100 yards behind the house. He watched for about ten seconds while they stood side by side swaying, then ran downstairs and outside but they were gone. A relative who was at the house did not see them, and a later search found no tracks or unusual odor.

Before sunrise during deer shotgun season, the witness sat against a tree near a damaged bridge and dozed off. After hearing a twig snap, he saw a tall dark figure walking with long strides along a trail and crossing the washed-out bridge without breaking stride. He first assumed it was another hunter, but later realized no other hunters were present and the figure wore no orange.

The witness was deer hunting from an elevated stand in late afternoon when branches began breaking as something approached. A tall, thick, long-haired biped stopped about 30 yards away for several seconds, gave a very loud howl, then rapidly retreated through thick swamp while breaking vegetation and howled again while moving away to the southwest. The frightened witness ran to the car and later said the experience ended his hunting in that area.

The witness was driving at night through Circleville Canyon when headlights revealed a large hairy figure at the roadside. The figure stood and ran across the highway in front of the car, moving quickly with a smooth, non-bouncing gait and long arms, then disappeared into darkness. The witness did not stop to look for tracks.

After the witness brightened the headlights, the creature approached, struck the car and leaned on the hood while screaming loudly. The witness reversed around it and drove away while still hearing it screaming in the distance.

A woman driving home with her children at dusk saw a brown figure crouched on the highway median outside Gladstone. The figure stood up, crossed the highway in a couple of steps, lowered its arms to its sides, and disappeared into the woods. She described it as extremely fast and graceful and concluded it could only have been a Bigfoot.

The witness was driving with family at night when, after an oncoming vehicle passed, a large hairy creature was seen standing in the road. It crossed in a southbound direction, turned to look over its shoulder, then took two large steps over a guardrail and disappeared. The witness spotted a brown, hairy figure crouched on a boulder on a hill, facing toward the companion's cabin. When headlights hit it, it paused briefly, leapt about nine feet to another rock, stood up and ran bipedally out of sight down the hill. The companion did not see it.

The witness walked to a treestand before dawn for a bowhunt and heard a howl-like sound in the dark. After daybreak, after several deer ran past appearing spooked, a tall bipedal hair-covered creature ran past the stand without stopping. Two more smaller creatures, one described as dragging a baby-sized one, then appeared briefly before quickly following the first, leaving behind a foul odor.

A companion noticed two red eyes on a bank, initially thought to be a raccoon, then the creature blinked and walked upright on two legs across the road about 100 yards ahead.
