The witness was riding as a passenger in a truck descending a mountain pass while looking for wildlife. A tall dark hairy figure emerged at the forest edge, turned uphill and walked along the treeline with a gliding gait for four to five steps until a road curve blocked the view. The witness was unable to speak at first, then asked the driver to stop, but the driver did not see the figure.

The witness was scouting for a deer stand site in a swampy pine forest in the early afternoon. After hearing a distant splash and nearby snapping limbs, the witness saw a massive ape-like animal running away while grunting. The animal disappeared into the swamp, leaving a strong musk smell. The witness left, unsure what had been seen.

On the return, two team members scanned behind them with thermal and captured a large heat signature behind a tree plus a smaller signature nearby. After earlier strange sounds and a brief sighting, one camper encountered a tall bipedal figure near the camp bathroom area and alerted the group. Several campers armed themselves, moved children into a vehicle, fired warning shots, and pursued the figure toward a nearby friends camp where they reported being circled by three tall dark-furred bipeds. The following mornings the group reported handprints on vehicles, footprints, nests, and broken-tree crosses and teepee structures around both camps.

The figure kept its distance while vocal exchanges continued, then left when the witness looked away at a fishing bell.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a side-by-side on a logging road when she noticed movement about 50 feet into the woods. She watched a tall, black, long-haired canine-like animal with a dog head, massive shoulders, human-like hands and unusual bent hind legs cling to a cedar snag, then twist mid-air and drop to all fours. She reported the sighting to her husband over their headsets and did not return to the spot.
