The driver and a passenger were driving on a rural highway late at night when headlights illuminated a very large upright bipedal figure near the road edge. The figure turned and moved quickly into the woods on two feet. The driver stopped, and both occupants agreed on its unusually large size and human-like movement, dismissing a bear as an explanation.

An investigator interviewed both witnesses by phone, later searched the wooded roadside area for tracks and cameras and found none, then re-interviewed the witnesses and found their accounts consistent.
A second investigator spoke with the driver multiple times, noted background relevant to judging size, recorded additional details about distance and movement across a parking lot, and clarified the witnesses took no photos and did not search for tracks.
