On a weekend morning the witness and two companions walked down a trail toward the back fields and noticed a strong odor of death and wet dog. The witness saw a small hairy juvenile peeking from behind what proved to be the leg of a very large female standing motionless in a clearing. After he pointed at her she roared, the group fled while hearing screams, howls and chatter around them, and the next morning a large log they played on was found broken.

The father stopped, got out and fired several pistol shots as it fled around a bend, after which it gave a loud roar or scream. The group continued to camp for three days, during which the father remained nervous and jumped up armed during the night.

The witness and a companion walked near a gravesite picnic area at dusk and approached the outdoor toilets. The witness encountered a tall hair-covered figure beside the toilets that followed closely while bent on its front limbs with its rear raised. The witness, left alone in standing corn, heard a loud scream approaching and was knocked down by a bent-over thing carrying a deer on its shoulder, which dropped the deer and fled. The group found the deer alive but severely injured with a twisted hind leg and broken antlers; a responding game warden shot it and released it to them, and dressing showed a dislocated hip, broken backbone and badly bruised meat.

The witness was riding a horse on a wooded dirt road at dusk when the horse became agitated. After hearing rustling and a loud scream, the witness saw eyes and then a large upright creature that lunged out and seized the saddle. Face to face with the creature, the witness clung to the horse's neck as it bolted without looking back. The saddle was later described as torn with deep gouges.

A few nights later a loud scream and shotgun blasts came from a cattle rancher's property. While following a deputy's patrol car, the witnesses saw the creature run from the dark and be struck, stopping the car. It got up limping, struck the hood, screamed, and left toward the swamp. At the pasture the prize bull was found dead with its torso in one place and head about 100 yards away, followed by an all-night search with dogs and helicopters that found nothing.

Around 3 a.m. the dogs reacted, floodlights came on, and a huge shadow crossed the wall. The witness peeked out the front picture window and saw a very tall hairy biped that flexed and screamed. It then walked along the fence, ate a wild watermelon, drank from a neighbor's man-made lake, and left toward the swamp. Next morning large footprints were found but were trampled before casting.

In late August 1973, two companions setting up a hunting camp at night heard loud screams, whistles, and brush thrashing around them and retreated into their truck cab. The witness then shone a spotlight toward the sounds and saw an erect, dark brown-to-black biped move rapidly up a steep rock slide on two legs. The witness later felt the animal had no intent to harm them.
