Late on a cold fall night, the witness walked out of a separate laundry building at a rural apartment complex and saw a human-like creature about 20 feet away searching through a dumpster under bright lot lights. The two looked at each other briefly, then the witness ran toward the apartment, fell on a gravel road, and looked back to see the creature running away about 200 feet distant.

In November 1997 the witness looked from an upstairs window and saw two gray upright figures at the woods edge about 100 yards behind the house. He watched for about ten seconds while they stood side by side swaying, then ran downstairs and outside but they were gone. Late in the evening the witness drove around the apartment complex and saw a dark figure standing at the edge of the woods by the trash bins. The figure looked at the witness and then moved slowly back into the woods. The next morning footprints were found near the dumpster in snow, leading the witness to conclude the figure was not a bear.

Before sunrise during deer shotgun season, the witness sat against a tree near a damaged bridge and dozed off. After hearing a twig snap, he saw a tall dark figure walking with long strides along a trail and crossing the washed-out bridge without breaking stride. He first assumed it was another hunter, but later realized no other hunters were present and the figure wore no orange.

The witness was pheasant hunting with a dog on elevated ground beside tall grass. The dog became agitated and barked toward a distant tree line. The witness then saw a large dark figure moving through the tall grass toward the trees and disappearing into timber, after which the witness left the area.

The witness was deer hunting from an elevated stand in late afternoon when branches began breaking as something approached. A tall, thick, long-haired biped stopped about 30 yards away for several seconds, gave a very loud howl, then rapidly retreated through thick swamp while breaking vegetation and howled again while moving away to the southwest. The frightened witness ran to the car and later said the experience ended his hunting in that area.

The witness claims to have been stopped in snow-related traffic on Highway 24. After stepping out of the vehicle, the witness noticed another stopped motorist pointing toward a hillside. The witness then observed a creature on a ridgeline about two hundred feet above the highway but could not follow it due to ice and fear.

The figure stood and ran across the highway in front of the car, moving quickly with a smooth, non-bouncing gait and long arms, then disappeared into darkness. The witness and a companion were elk hunting from a ridge when they heard soft murmuring voices they took for approaching hunters. They then heard heavy thumps retreating down the brushy ridge and briefly saw a big black object moving fast into the trees on the flat below. Both initially considered a black bear but later felt that explanation did not fit the vocal sounds and movement.

Three women at an elk-hunt camp watched the clearcut below their campsite in the late afternoon and saw a hairy biped run from the treeline into the opening. The creature retreated when two dirt-bike riders appeared on a trail, then ran out again with a slightly smaller second creature. Both crossed the obstructed clearcut upright on two legs at great speed and disappeared into the far treeline.

While investigating on foot, they noticed a dark trunk-like shape in the bushes about 25 yards away that appeared to have eyes that moved. The son locked the vehicle door and urged immediate departure. The witness remains mostly but not fully convinced the shape was not a tree.

After the witness brightened the headlights, the creature approached, struck the car and leaned on the hood while screaming loudly. The witness reversed around it and drove away while still hearing it screaming in the distance.

A woman driving home with her children at dusk saw a brown figure crouched on the highway median outside Gladstone. The figure stood up, crossed the highway in a couple of steps, lowered its arms to its sides, and disappeared into the woods. She described it as extremely fast and graceful and concluded it could only have been a Bigfoot.
Afternoon sighting by mother and daughter in Honey Island Swamp
Two witnesses taking a dog for exercise at the end of a swamp road noticed a large dark hairy torso-like shape beside a tree about 50-75 feet away and watched it shift for a few minutes. After driving to two other spots up the road, they heard footsteps approaching and then something running toward them through the woods, which frightened the dog. They left the area and returned later that afternoon, but the shape was gone.

The witness and a companion were driving at night after dinner when their headlights illuminated a dark furry figure on the side of the road. The figure was bent over and then stood up as they passed, showing only its backside, with its hips roughly level with the hood of a small pickup. The witnesses drove back to look again but the figure was gone. The witness kept the account private for years for fear of ridicule.

A couple driving at night with their child came upon a tall dark-haired figure walking in a gully alongside the highway. They passed it slowly and viewed it peripherally for about ten seconds, noting its height above the van and its large jawed face. They continued driving and later stopped to recover and discuss what they had seen.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a companion while driving home to a year-round campground at night. The witness spotted a brown, hairy figure crouched on a boulder on a hill, facing toward the companion's cabin. When headlights hit it, it paused briefly, leapt about nine feet to another rock, stood up and ran bipedally out of sight down the hill. The companion did not see it.

The witness was walking with a friend out of tall grass into a field in the late afternoon when a tall, slim, white-furred creature was noticed about 100 feet away in the woods. The creature appeared to notice them, turned, and ran away very quickly. The witness did not see its face, hands, or feet clearly.

The witness walked to a treestand before dawn for a bowhunt and heard a howl-like sound in the dark. After daybreak, after several deer ran past appearing spooked, a tall bipedal hair-covered creature ran past the stand without stopping. Two more smaller creatures, one described as dragging a baby-sized one, then appeared briefly before quickly following the first, leaving behind a foul odor.
