Two occupants of a car driving on a curvy wooded road around midnight encountered a furry figure crouched in the roadway. After illuminating it with high beams from close range, they watched it stand on two legs and run quickly up a hill. They described it as huge, dark, about seven feet tall with long arms, moving like an ape, and said it could not have been a bear.

The witness saw a large bulky figure at the far bank that rose from a crouch, turned, and walked into brush out of view. The figure was estimated to be about 165 yards away and much larger and wider than a person.

Late at night while hiking with a companion, the witness rested at a picnic table and shone a headlamp toward a hillside. The light revealed three sets of large green eyeshine, one pair of which appeared to rise to about nine feet high. After watching the eyes approach, freeze, and fade away, the pair left the area frightened.

A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

Looking back toward an upper trailhead, the witness saw a tall, bulky black figure walking from right to left and quickly out of sight. The witness was with two companions walking a forest trail back to camp near midnight while using a thermal monocular and making howls and whoops. After hearing four return howls, the witness saw a bright heat signature through the thermal that peeked from behind a tree, disappearing and reappearing on alternating sides for about a minute. A companion also viewed it through the thermal and reacted with surprise. When the companions moved closer, the source grew smaller, moved through thick vegetation from right to left, and disappeared, with the witness discerning only what looked like a head.

The witness was driving on a highway in the afternoon with a relative as passenger when the relative spotted an upright hair-covered animal standing at the tree line. They observed it for several seconds from about 20-30 ft off the road before it was gone. The witness turned the vehicle around and searched the woods on foot but found nothing, hearing and smelling nothing unusual.

He saw a very tall dark figure standing behind his SUV at the garage entrance for a few seconds before running back inside for a gun. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.
