At about 75 yards he saw a large dark figure walk through the field toward the creek, pause to stare at him, then stride quickly into the woods. Two hunters sat in a blind when the woods went quiet and they heard crashing, bipedal footsteps, a loud crash and a deep howl. After waiting until dark, they left and walked toward their boat. When one turned around he saw eye shine several feet off the ground behind them, which then turned away.

The witness was still-hunting deer through a valley hollow when two does approached. He then noticed a large dark figure peering from behind a tree uphill about 140-150 yards away. He studied it through a rifle scope for about half a minute, saw human-like facial features, and watched it stand and leave on two legs into laurel.

A family of four stopped in their truck by mailboxes on a dirt road in the early evening when a child pointed out a very tall dark figure across the creek by a fence. The figure turned toward the truck, swung an arm, then froze motionless with its hands on the fence. The driver moved forward a short distance, backed up to look again, and the figure was gone.

While packing the truck to leave, the guest's son shone a light into the woods and reacted in fright. The son reported orange eyeshine low to the ground. As the guest stood at the truck he heard a very deep sound from that direction, then they left quickly.
