During a late-night stay on a fishing trip, the witness and two companions observed three hair-covered bipedal figures near a cabin and parked vehicles. One tall figure stood at the treeline rocking and bobbing while two smaller figures crouched behind a truck watching them. After a vehicle was started and moved, the figures fled into the woods, with one later seen running across a road on two legs. The group then heard movement and breaking brush toward the lake and later noticed broken vegetation and possible tracks and hair.

The witness was taking a dog outside at night and felt watched after the dog stared and growled. After shining a flashlight in that direction, the witness saw two hairy bipedal figures cross a fence and then ran inside. Relatives then went outside, reportedly saw the larger figure up close, noticed odor and sounds, and the group found large tracks the next day.

A witness driving slowly with his son reported seeing a human-like figure in the woods. They followed on foot to a creek where they watched a single creature from about 50 yards away for about ten minutes as it gathered and ate leaves before walking away. They described its coloration, size, eyes, head shape and strong odor.

The figures jumped over a fence easily, stared at the witness, then moved by an apple tree and headed toward a river. The witness ran inside to get two relatives and last saw the figures heading toward the river.

After pulling into a turnout, the witness watched the figure repeatedly bend from the hips while appearing to move rocks or forage in the water. The figure then stood upright and looked toward the witness before resuming its activity, and the witness left before it did.

From the bank the witness saw a large hair-covered biped in dense woods that moved away very quickly. The companion remained in the creek bed and did not see it, and both left the area along the creek as light faded.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the morning when a figure crossed the road ahead. The witness stopped and watched a tall, reddish-brown haired, human-like and ape-like figure standing about 50 feet away facing him for about five minutes. The figure then walked into the woods, and a later check found no footprints because the ground was too hard.

While hunting deer alone in the morning, the witness heard repeated sounds like logs or poles being thrown, then found a tree with bark removed, a large packed bed, a human-like track, and unfamiliar scat. After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

The witness was driving home around midnight when he saw a tall figure standing by a roadside fence watching him pass. Believing it was a man needing help, he stopped, got out with a flashlight, and started walking back toward it. A loud vocalization shifting from high-pitched to low guttural frightened him, causing him to drop the flashlight and drive away. He returned the next day to recover the flashlight and found only flattened grass with no footprints or hair.

The witness and a companion had moved away from a party in a wooded clearing to talk and listen to music near portable lights. They heard something approaching down the hill behind them, and the witness shone a light on a large black hairy figure estimated at about eight feet tall. The figure retreated uphill into the woods, and the two witnesses fled past the party and drove away in the witness's truck.
Hiker sees, attempts to photograph a sasquatch in the Columbia Gorge
While hiking alone and descending a dry trail, the witness heard a loud crashing nearby and saw a large black ape-like animal running uphill, visible from the waist up. The animal tripped, caught itself, showed its face in profile, then disappeared while a fallen tree rocked and a possible face was glimpsed. The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.

While camping alone in a tent on a hunting trip, the witness heard unidentified calls over about an hour and later was awakened by movement and shaking of the tent. The witness noticed the tent had been lifted and saw a shadow pass by, then illuminated a large dark human-like figure about 20 yards away that turned and ran into the brush. The witness kept lights on until sunrise and packed up and left the next morning.

The witness stopped at a stone quarry in the late afternoon to look for deer and saw a dark, uniformly colored biped moving very quickly through tall grass on uneven terrain. The figure held its arms at its sides and appeared to float rather than run, crossed a path beside a corn field, then entered standing corn and disappeared. The observation lasted about 15 seconds at an estimated distance of 225 yards.

The witness was moose hunting from a tree stand at night when a bull moose he had called approached. A large upright creature crossed the clearing quickly, causing the moose to flee, then circled to within about 50 yards of the stand. The creature hid behind willows and watched the witness for 30-40 minutes before leaving to the northeast.

While with a group in a park parking lot by a nature center, the witness looked through another researcher's night vision scope at eyeshine near the tree line. He discerned a face staring back between branches, studied facial details, then lowered the scope and the figure was gone. He concluded it was holding a branch down to look through.

While bowhunting with a relative from afternoon into dusk, the witness briefly noticed a tall dark shape moving uphill. Later while walking back toward their ranch, they heard a loud crash and saw something chasing them. They stopped past the ranch gate and watched a tall black figure stare at them for 20-30 seconds before it turned and walked into the brush. Wood knocks and coyote-like sounds were heard that night.
