Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

He saw a very tall dark figure standing behind his SUV at the garage entrance for a few seconds before running back inside for a gun. He and a relative searched the yard and found no one, but noticed several very large wet footprints on the concrete with a wide stride.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness and a companion were sleeping in their vehicle at a forest campsite. During the night they heard something rubbing against the vehicle, knocking items over, and rummaging around camp, including toppling chairs and a canopy. The companion, while lying down, reported seeing a tall black shape pass the window and leave away from roads. In the morning the chairs were overturned and the canopy was found upside down about 20 feet away, with otherwise little disturbance and no clear prints.

A large black hairy biped ran across the road from one woodline to the other in three leaps with a bent-kneed stride. Through the night the camper heard log-banging, close movement, breathing, branch breaking, a tarp strike, a grunt, a boulder throw and a tree being pushed over, and glimpsed an upright figure walking downhill toward a creek. At dawn the camper heard loud bird-like calls from multiple directions, and found large grass impressions the next morning.

Late at night the witness was at home when dogs began barking loudly. The witness looked out a living room window and saw a large dark figure running down the gravel driveway away from the house. The figure appeared as a solid dark shadow larger than a person, visible under a security light. A companion also believed they saw what was pointed out.

On May 12 around 4pm, the witness was hiking back to base camp with two relatives when he saw a large upright hair-covered figure dart between trees on a steep slope about 30 yards away. He watched it cover 10-15 yards uphill in seconds without bobbing before it disappeared behind trees. His companions did not see the figure, and the party returned to camp without further incident before leaving the area that evening.

Late at night at a yurt near a creek, the witness stepped outside and heard loud hooting/howling from across the creek. The sound was heard two more times from inside the yurt, and later the witness saw a faint outline duck behind trees on the hillside. The next morning a partial muddy footprint with hairs was found leading toward the yurt door.

The witness was carrying garbage out to the can when she noticed a large hair-covered creature standing behind her pickup truck watching her. The vehicle passed within a few feet of the creature, then they turned around to look again. The creature had left the roadside and left a trail of disturbed vegetation and indistinct footprints. They described its size, build, hair, and facial features in detail.

On the morning of October 5 2009 the witness and a companion were driving toward a hunting area when two black upright figures about seven feet tall ran across the road and into dense brush. The witness drove closer and then got out to listen but heard nothing and the figures were gone. The party left the woods that night and returned days later with a relative to find odor, snapped small trees, a possible print, and scat.

Two people staying at a mountain cabin watched a large black upright animal move from near a river across a road and uphill toward an aspen grove over about two minutes, using binoculars for part of the observation. The animal turned toward a passing truck, then moved away with longer strides while looking back. Afterwards the witnesses went to the grove and found and measured a large five-toed footprint, but snow prevented further tracking.
