They fled to a neighboring house, where the resident let them in and all three watched the figure stand in the front yard about 12 feet from the porch before it crossed the road and descended an embankment toward the river plain. At dawn a neighbor was called and later found large footprints that were traced downriver until they entered the water.

The figure paused when they struck the glass, then continued leaving. A day later they found tracks behind the house leading toward the houses.

The creature had a foul smell. The witness returned the next day and found large smudged footprints in the road and cornfield.

On the way out and again on the way back, the witness noticed a large silver-colored being sitting calmly on a woodpile and watching. The witness went inside, locked the door, awoke shaking three hours later, and later called a friend and drew what was seen.
