Hiker has daylight sighting near Olive Branch
The witness reported walking back along a trail after making calls with no response when he found a very large footprint and a scat pile containing vegetation and shell fragments. Moments later he saw a very tall, heavily built, dark brownish creature about 70-80 feet away that had been digging at a ground hornet nest. The creature then ran rapidly down one ridge and up another at a speed the witness felt could not be matched, and disappeared. The witness then collected his things and left for his car.

From a sixth-floor hotel balcony before dawn, the witness watched a tall hair-covered biped for five to six minutes at a distance. The being stared, rocked side to side, and repeatedly leaned to pull bark from a large pine tree. Afterward the witness fetched security and later returned in daylight to find fresh bark, deep ground indentations, and possible scat.

The husband got up early and heard an unfamiliar calling sound, so he went outside to get mail and look for the source. Near his car he saw a fur-covered bipedal figure about 50 feet away in pines, watched it briefly, then it noticed him and ran toward the woods and field. He later found large pressed-down footprints in grass, and the spouse's father found scat in the same area said to differ from deer or bear.

While hunting deer alone in the morning, the witness heard repeated sounds like logs or poles being thrown, then found a tree with bark removed, a large packed bed, a human-like track, and unfamiliar scat. After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

The witness was fishing downstream from family members when he briefly saw the lower legs of a dark figure stepping from the creek onto the bank and into dense brush. He searched the spot and found wet marks on rocks, disturbed soil, and dung, which companions helped videotape. He concluded the figure was unlikely to be human given the remote, rugged terrain.

He became aware of a pair of reflective eyes watching him from behind a bush about 70 feet away and watched them for over an hour as the fire died down until they disappeared. In the morning he found large foot-shaped flattened grass impressions leading to and from the spot behind the bush.

The witness withdrew to a truck without being followed, and also noted a very large track, sand mounds, possible vomit and scat, and bark damage in the same area.

They watched 15 minutes until the battery died, heard movement, screaming and chatter for hours, and next morning found scat and hundreds of footprints over their tracks.

He found a footprint, droppings and a dead smell, listened to heavy breathing behind a thicket for hours, heard a vocalization and a stick hitting a tree, then saw a head peering from behind a large pine. He viewed it through his rifle scope, saw teeth, then walked toward the trail as it left on two legs, and it paralleled him back toward camp.
