Father and daughter have possible late night sighting on edge of Huron National Forest
Around 2:30 a.m. the witness and his daughter were walking from the house to a detached garage bordering the national forest when they noticed movement and a white, human-like furry figure about 100 feet away looking toward them. The figure moved very quickly in a half-circle and crouched near a tree, then was seen standing motionless with its back to them as they approached. They ran back to the garage frightened and later discussed that they could not match it to a known animal.

The witness was walking along a rural road past a marsh at dawn when noises like birds rustling came from the reeds. A light-brown creature that had been crouched in the reeds stood up and ran uphill toward the woods, pushing brush aside with its arms. The witness observed it for less than a minute, noting great height, broad shoulders, a coconut-shaped head, and very fast movement.

The witness states he was on his driveway at night with his dog when a doe walked past in the yard light and moonlight. Immediately behind the doe, a large hair-covered biped walked across an open gap of about 30 feet between cedar trees without making noise. The witness reported walking back along a trail after making calls with no response when he found a very large footprint and a scat pile containing vegetation and shell fragments. Moments later he saw a very tall, heavily built, dark brownish creature about 70-80 feet away that had been digging at a ground hornet nest. The creature then ran rapidly down one ridge and up another at a speed the witness felt could not be matched, and disappeared. The witness then collected his things and left for his car.

While hunting small game in the morning, the witness saw a bipedal dark-haired figure run between him and a companion and stop about 50-60 yards away to look at him for roughly half a minute before leaving. He estimated it at about 7 feet tall by comparison to a nearby tree and found no tracks due to standing water, only flattened grass. After rejoining his companion about a half-mile away, they found and examined an unusually large scat pile containing berries and grass.

On the morning of October 5 2009 the witness and a companion were driving toward a hunting area when two black upright figures about seven feet tall ran across the road and into dense brush. The witness drove closer and then got out to listen but heard nothing and the figures were gone. The party left the woods that night and returned days later with a relative to find odor, snapped small trees, a possible print, and scat.

On the afternoon of August 11, 2007, the witness was resting near the Pacific Crest Trail in the southern high Sierras when he noticed two upright, dark-furred figures about 200 yards away near a deep canyon. He watched for about 10 minutes as they moved around close together, apparently looking at the ground and unaware of him. After he made a coyote call, both figures quickly left his view down into the canyon.

Residents in a Campbell County community reported a large ape-like primate on the loose over several weeks in autumn 2003. One resident reported seeing the animal at close range, noting a strong odor, and said it threw a kitten toward them. Animal control and the sheriff's department investigated and warned residents not to approach the animal.

The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.
