Tall manlike creature seen while on a family outing near The Pas
The witness became separated from relatives while out in forest near a lake in spring. The witness stopped at a trail entrance and watched a tall dark manlike creature scrape bark with its palms and pound a tree trunk with a fist. The creature paused and turned to look at the witness. The frightened witness cried and left the area after viewing lasting a couple minutes.
Possible pre-dawn approach to property outside Winston-Salem
Early in the morning the witness took the dog out to the end of the driveway before work. The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.
Possible road-crossing sighting in daylight near Strawberry
The witness stopped along a one-lane road to let dogs out and glimpsed two dark figures crossing the road quickly at a curve, seeing only their upper halves. The figures disappeared around the turn and were not seen again despite visibility of the road beyond. About an hour later the witness returned and found a slide mark and a possible ball-and-toe impression on the muddy bank where the figures had crossed. The witness first took them for hooded people but later considered them possibly bigfoots due to their appearance, upright bipedal movement, and lack of a trail.

The witness and a coworker were driving home in separate vehicles in the dark when both swerved to avoid a tall headless black shape walking unnaturally in the road. They returned to the spot and found a very large dog-like animal lying across both lanes that lifted its head, growled deeply, stood up on two legs to eye level, stared, then dropped to a crouch and left toward a fenced ditch. A small wet mouse then stood between the two men cleaning itself and showed no fear when nudged, after which both left for home.

A deer hunter in scent-masking clothes and a ghillie suit was set up on a rock overlooking a saddle at daybreak. A large dark ape-like animal threw a stick that landed behind him, then charged after he shouted and pointed his muzzleloader. He fired in front of it to deter it; it stopped, stood, grunted, and a smaller one emerged crying before both left. He abandoned his gear and found it ransacked the next day.

The witness was driving south on Highway 101 in the morning with her young child asleep in the car. After rounding a corner beside a lagoon, she noticed two figures in the water that she first mistook for fishermen. As she slowed and passed within about 40 feet, she described one as a tall, muscular, fur-covered figure walking toward shore while the second remained seated or stooped in the water, then she sped away frightened.

While checking nets during a late-night bat survey, the witness and two coworkers heard a whoop and then saw a tall hair-covered biped cross a dirt road in front of them. The creature looked at them, took two steps up an embankment and disappeared. The group fled and later returned with two more people to find large footprints in mud and trampled vegetation before leaving the site.

The next morning she and a relative found flattened grass, clearings, and tracks leading into the woods but were too frightened to follow them.

He shone a light across a field and saw a large dark hairy figure with outstretched arms run away in a split second. The witness was driving at night behind another car when both vehicles stopped for a tall, dark, manlike figure crossing the road in the headlights. The figure was described as 8-9 feet tall with very long arms and a strong musk odor that lingered after it left. It reportedly broke the top off a barbed-wire fence post, went over the fence, and disappeared into the woods. The next day the witness found a broken post, bent wire, and broken brush leading into the treeline.

The witness was driving east on Highway 2 east of Ball Club late at night when she noticed a large brown hairy figure standing off the side of the road. The figure appeared to be waiting to cross toward a nearby lake and did not look at her vehicle. She continued driving without stopping and later returned in daylight but remained in her vehicle.
City planner sees large upright animal while touring property near Punta Gorda
In spring 2006 the witness was touring a large ranch in a converted school bus with county review staff. While the bus slowed for hogs, the witness looked across a flooded pasture and saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal figure standing on a small rise about 125 to 150 yards away. The figure was visible for a few seconds before vegetation blocked the view, turning its upper body toward the bus as it passed while apparently holding something in its arms.

Around noon the witness was driving after leaving home when movement caught attention. Less than a football field away the witness watched a tall brown hairy biped walking toward nearby water for about 10-13 seconds. The creature walked upright with large steps at a leisurely pace, glanced toward the witness without showing alarm, then continued on. Recent logging noise was noted nearby and a later visit to the area led to a revised taller height estimate.
Possible sighting by duck hunter near Wakaw
The witness had been duck hunting and got his truck stuck in mud, then started walking to find help. While walking along a grid road in rain he saw a large broad-shouldered figure move very fast into a treed valley and disappear after a few strides. At the apparent crossing point he found a single large water-filled footprint. Earlier that day he had found seven dead birds packed under a crop swath a few hundred yards away.

The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

Two companions resting on a high rock overlook watched a large dark biped and a smaller blonde biped moving below in a clear-cut and on a fire road. Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.

The witness and two young companions were fishing on a private wooded property around noon. When the witness approached palmettos to check a noise, he saw eyes, heard a growl, and watched the creature stand to about nine feet tall. The group fled and returned hours later to find food and fish missing, poles scattered, and their shirts draped high in a live oak.
