The witness and family stopped at a turnaround in a state forest. After returning to their vehicle, the witness and a relative saw a tall, upright, reddish-brown hair-covered figure watching them from behind tall brush. When they began to drive away, the figure moved off in the opposite direction.

The witness reports catching frogs near a small lake while camping with family and friends when a branch snap was heard. The witness turned and saw two brown hairy figures, one large and one smaller, noting a foul odor and loud screams, with the larger grunting as they left with a long stride. Late on a cold fall night, the witness walked out of a separate laundry building at a rural apartment complex and saw a human-like creature about 20 feet away searching through a dumpster under bright lot lights. The two looked at each other briefly, then the witness ran toward the apartment, fell on a gravel road, and looked back to see the creature running away about 200 feet distant.

Two 11-year-olds were sitting on a rock in the woods when they heard a dead tree fall. They looked up and saw a tall creature walking from right to left toward a stream, which seemed to ignore them. They ran quickly out of the woods, and their small dog that ran toward the creature later returned home unharmed.

Late at night in summer 1977, the witness was driving a van with four companions back to camp when a tall bipedal figure crossed the road in front of them. Headlights illuminated its shape and eyes as it moved from a low area toward a mountain embankment. The driver stopped and searched the roadside with a light, heard movement in the brush but found no tracks, and later reported the incident to police.

Two teenagers exploring an abandoned creamery had the companion climb a ladder to the upper floor, where he reported a foul smell and hairy legs behind a box. Both then heard heavy running overhead with ceiling boards moving, and saw a large hairy figure break through a wall, cross a roof, and appear directly after loading doors blew open. They watched it run away through a cornfield for several seconds until it went over or through a fence and disappeared.
