After feeling uneasy they started the vehicle and noticed a large crouched figure with red eyes about 30 yards away. As they turned to leave the figure stood, and they passed within about 7-10 feet, seeing a tall, broad, human-like face before driving away.

While hunting small game in the morning, the witness saw a bipedal dark-haired figure run between him and a companion and stop about 50-60 yards away to look at him for roughly half a minute before leaving. He estimated it at about 7 feet tall by comparison to a nearby tree and found no tracks due to standing water, only flattened grass. After rejoining his companion about a half-mile away, they found and examined an unusually large scat pile containing berries and grass.

One appeared crouched making rapid arm movements over its lap while the other stood watching, and both looked toward her car with red eyeshine before she drove away frightened.

They stopped and watched it for two to three minutes from about 200 feet away while it looked toward the river and never looked at the vehicle. The witness was at a wooded church camp at night when a tall black-haired biped trotted across about 50 feet away for about seven seconds. The witness noted a dome-like head, very large shoulders, and long arms hanging straight down while the shoulders twisted with movement. About a minute later a strong foul odor was noticed, followed minutes later by a series of loud hoots. The next morning the witness found large human-like barefoot tracks in sand.

The experience reportedly disturbed the grandfather enough that he moved his family to Ohio.
