On the night of April 18, 2020 the witness was at home when a dog began barking persistently and a loud guttural growl was heard at the back door, also noticed by a cat. Late at night the witness and companions stopped while driving remote dirt roads and the witness scanned a clearing with a night-vision monocular. The witness claims a large dark shape stood bipedally and moved with long smooth strides behind a mesquite tree, where it remained as an indistinct dark shape. No recording was made and none of the companions saw the figure.

In spring 2016 after returning home from an evening walk near his home, the witness looked back across an open field toward the woods and saw the back of a tall, broad, hair-covered upright creature standing still about 150 yards away. After a few seconds it moved quickly into the woods. He later estimated it was over seven feet tall with no visible neck and a peaked, caramel-colored head and back.

Around midnight they heard bipedal footsteps, grunting, whistling, whoops and reciprocal tree knocks, smelled a strong foul odor, and had small sticks thrown at their position. After a shot was fired into the ground, heavy running was heard moving toward the second position where glowing eyes were seen, and the group left around 2 a.m.

A child riding a toy vehicle in the backyard told a relative to come see something, but a relative hurried over and the thing was already gone. The child described a tall brown hairy figure watching her, with upright hair on top of its head, taller than a parent, and said it was not a cow from a nearby pasture. The family questioned the child and believed she had seen something unusual, and she has since avoided the spot.

While driving to work in the morning, the witness saw a dark object on the road she first thought was an ATV. As she got closer it moved off the road into the ditch, then stood up from a bent-over position, lifted a leg over a log, and disappeared into the forest. Her husband later checked the crossing spot for tracks but dense pine needles and leaf litter prevented finding any sign.

The witness and a companion were in a vehicle near a draw on a relative's land looking for deer. Through binoculars the witness watched a dark hairy figure concealed among tumbleweeds around a tree, moving to stay hidden and at one point peering over a branch with only its head and eyes visible. The figure later appeared at another tree behind reeds and underbrush watching the vehicle. The companion could not see what the witness described from his position in the vehicle.

The witness parked with four teenage companions at a forest spot late at night to watch from a pickup truck. After tree knocks and whoop sounds, the group saw a very tall, wide upright figure silhouetted beside a pine tree in moonlight. The witness later found large footprints at the same spot and made casts.
Possible midnight encounter in Thorp Springs RV Park
The witness was outside a residence near a wooded creek around midnight when loud whoops, heavy approaching footfalls, a mildew odor, and a howling dog were noticed. A tall dark man-shaped figure then appeared in a moonlit clearing in the creek bed about 30 yards away. The figure faced the witness briefly then moved out of the light into the woods, and the witness went back inside.

Late one night in June, the witness walked to a camping trailer to use the bathroom and noticed a tall upright figure moving nearby. The figure briefly turned at the waist and head toward her, apparently having heard the trailer door. She watched it for only a few seconds in poor light provided by a neighboring light.

A large black hairy figure standing a short distance beyond the rabbit fled rapidly downhill through the woods, making loud noise. After briefly seeing a juvenile bear emerge and retreat, the witness turned and noticed a large upright human-like shape close by in thick brush. A tree trunk snapped and fell toward the witness, who fled to the car and drove away, later concluding the shape might have been a Sasquatch.

The witness shouted and waved his arms at the fence line where the sounds stopped but could see only shadows, later seeing a large shadow through the fence that dwarfed his own stature. After retrieving a dropped pole and returning to the truck, the witness heard something rush toward them, shone headlights toward the trees, and the group left as it retreated.
