After a child's whoops received an immediate whoop reply nearby, two adults who stayed behind briefly heard something approach closely then step away, seeing nothing with lights. Back in camp the group saw intermittent orange eyeshine below the ridgeline, and later heard movement around camp overnight including a camper shaking.
Possible daytime sighting on a golf course in Northern MN
Early one morning the witness was talking with a coworker at a golf course bordering woods when he noticed a tall bipedal figure moving through dense brush parallel to a paved path. The figure, described as lanky and uniformly reddish-tan, walked with a long easy stride and covered ground quickly without running. After about 20 seconds it passed behind a small bathroom building and did not reappear on the other side. The coworker, who was facing away from the woods, did not see it.

The witness was watching birds in the yard when the birds disappeared, then walked toward the woods to look for deer. The witness saw a dark figure on all fours about 40 yards away on a gully that rocked from side to side. As she got closer it moved off the road into the ditch, then stood up from a bent-over position, lifted a leg over a log, and disappeared into the forest. The witness was driving with a relative on Rt 66 toward Delmont late at night. The relative spotted a dark figure walking upright on two legs up a steep, snow-covered hillside behind an RV sales lot toward the tree line. The witness also glimpsed the figure, noting its large size, broad shoulders, and ease of movement uphill in snow without using its arms. They did not stop to look for tracks and reported the incident to seek an explanation.

The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.

Only two very large legs with extremely large feet were visible in the headlights as it took three steps across the road and a fourth step up the roadside bank. On the night of Jan. 13, 2014, the witness spotlighted a distant field from home and saw red eye shine that reacted to the light. After retrieving a relative, the two drove to a pond with tall reeds about 300 yards away and again picked up eye shine high in the reeds. They watched the eyes blink and move low through a creek embankment from left to right, but could see no body because of distance. The witness recorded about a minute of phone video and estimated eye height the next day at 7.5 to 8 feet based on reed height.

While driving on a road that follows a river on a hot day, the witness noticed a large cinnamon-colored animal standing on all fours in the shallow water at a distance. He could not see its head because of distance and overhanging branches. He first thought it was a bear but noted the fur looked unusually long and shaggy, obscuring where legs met body. He did not stop for a closer look and judged it at least as large as local bears he had seen.

The witness was driving east with his spouse around midday when he noticed a dark figure on the highway center line less than a quarter-mile ahead. The figure took about four steps to cross the road and berm and disappeared into the roadside treeline. When the vehicle reached the crossing point no person or animal was visible, and the spouse had not seen the figure.

The witness saw only the upper body and pumping arms as it crossed the road in about two and a half strides and then disappeared. The driver also saw something but was unsure what it was.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the evening when a large dark hairy quadruped resembling a bear was seen standing in a field beside the car. The animal reportedly kicked a back leg, turned to look at the witness, and remained standing. The witness later returned with a camera and photographed footprints in the snow, and noted a dead deer carcass nearby.

He could see the torso from ground to shoulder, the arm along the thigh and a lighter-skinned hand, but not the face which was shadowed. He did not stop and reported feeling extreme anxiety and fear.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand on a hill at the edge of a field in the early evening. He saw a dark figure moving along the field edge and into a ravine about 60 yards away, walking upright on two legs, and heard something walking in the ravine. He first thought it was a trespasser but concluded it was not a person in camouflage.

A tall creature with broad shoulders and reddish-brown matted fur emerged and crossed the road just ahead of the car in a few fast strides. The witness reported a good view of the body but did not get a clear view of the face, as the creature did not look toward the car.

The witness was driving toward Mt Bachelor on a clear cold morning when a very large dark figure crossed the highway in three large steps. The figure moved upright on two legs and disappeared into dense pine forest. The witness's car and another car slowed near where it entered the trees, but the figure was not relocated in the brush.
