Possible road crossing early in the day near Jasper
While driving to work in the morning, the witness saw a dark object on the road she first thought was an ATV. As she got closer it moved off the road into the ditch, then stood up from a bent-over position, lifted a leg over a log, and disappeared into the forest. Her husband later checked the crossing spot for tracks but dense pine needles and leaf litter prevented finding any sign.
Unexplained activity around a farm near Bondurant
The witness walked to a tree stand before dawn and heard whistles, footsteps, and a grunt while smelling a foul odor. The witness then saw two upright hairy figures, one about 4 feet tall and one about 6-7 feet tall, and one threw an object toward the stand. The witness yelled, climbed down, fled to an open corn field, and called a companion for a ride.
Pre-dawn road-crossing sighting by motorists outside Oronogo
In 1980 the witness was driving with a relative in the early morning to catch a bus for a trip when a brown, hairy form crossed their path near a small wooden bridge over a creek. The witness reported seeing only from the foot to the ankle in dim car lights while the companion reported seeing up to the knee, and the form crossed in about three strides. Both occupants were awestruck and left quickly without further observation.
