The figures left into the woods, and the next day the witness found the tree down with the saw bar displaced and many tracks and cracked walnuts nearby.

The witness slowed for a profile view, estimated its size against a road sign, and could not identify it as any known animal, noting a muscular, gorilla-like build under matted hair.

They left at first light and were later towed back to the landing.

The witness accelerated into and across a grass field, and as they were leaving the field the creature threw the log toward them but missed. The log was gone when the witness returned the next day.

As the truck reached the crossing point, the creature stood at the edge of the tree line about 75 feet off the road watching the truck pass and turning to watch the deer.
