In approximately 1992, a deer hunter watched a large bipedal animal through his rifle scope for 15-20 minutes from about 125-150 yards away. The animal stood still and appeared to watch him back until a branch snap to the left broke his attention, after which the animal disappeared. The hunter left the area quickly without attempting to shoot or follow.

Late on a spring night in 1979 or 1980, the witness had been parked in a truck on a pipeline with a companion for about 45 minutes. After hearing rustling ahead, the witness turned on the headlights and reported a very large hair-covered creature standing a few feet in front of the truck. In 1979 two companions were squirrel hunting along a dry creek bed in late afternoon when their dog became agitated and ran off. They then saw a very tall dark silhouette standing on the high creek bank about 80 yards away that stepped behind a tree and did not reappear. Frightened, they left the creek by a low spot and returned home, finding the dog hiding under the house.

On a winter night around 11:30 p.m., the witness was traveling home from work near Sidney, Montana when a tall light-haired biped crossed the highway ahead at the end of a coulee guardrail section and continued north without looking toward the witness. The figure was described as well over six feet tall with hair that was darker at the skin than at the tips. The witness was traveling alone, was frightened by the encounter, and did not return the next day to look for tracks in the snow.

The witness then watched a very large, muscular, long-haired creature walk across an open dried creekbed, apparently unaware of the car. The side view was unobstructed but the face was not seen.

Late at night a witness walking with a dog watched a tall silhouetted figure approach along a ridge. The dog ran ahead then retreated in distress, while the figure paused, crouched, approached closer, then sprinted to cover. Later from concealment it gave two loud screams, and next morning the witness found a line of large forefoot prints.

The creature continued down to the witness's elevation, around a hill and down a logging road through a meadow until out of sight over 2-3 minutes. The witness later searched the meadow without relocating it and later found leaf impressions showing a long stride.

In 1978 the witness was picnicking with family near Wellington Lake in the afternoon when she saw a white-furred bipedal creature about 60 feet away. The creature repeatedly stepped out from behind a boulder and ducked back as a companion turned to look, repeating this four to five times before disappearing. The companion never saw it. The creature alternated between bipedal and stooped postures and moved swiftly and silently, striking the witness as playful rather than frightening.
