In approximately 1992, a deer hunter watched a large bipedal animal through his rifle scope for 15-20 minutes from about 125-150 yards away. The animal stood still and appeared to watch him back until a branch snap to the left broke his attention, after which the animal disappeared. The hunter left the area quickly without attempting to shoot or follow.

An investigator interviewed the primary witness and two relatives who hunted and camped at the lease area.
Investigators spent the night in the bus, heard a distant loud unidentifiable roar and found no tracks.
