He left quickly, and while walking out through a field and old road he loaded his pistol, heard heavy paired footsteps and something keeping pace with him off the road. The sounds stopped at a creek, and he ran to his truck and left.

The witness was turkey hunting in a different area and saw hens on a peaceful evening. While walking out on a county road bordered by fields and honeysuckle he heard bushes shake, a grunt and loud stopping footsteps. He briefly saw a figure moving fast tree to tree off the road, ran to his truck after crossing water where the sounds stopped, and had no further incidents.
Daylight sighting by hunter 30 miles southeast of Louisville
The witness was sitting in a deer stand above a creek in heavily wooded bottomland waiting for deer. After smelling a musky odor and hearing leaves rustling behind the stand, the witness turned and saw a large dark-brown hairy biped across the creek about 60 yards away walking parallel to the water. The creature briefly turned its head toward the witness, continued swiftly with its arms swinging, and stayed in view for 10 to 15 seconds before moving away through trees.

The witness and a fellow priest were in a lit open picnic area returning toward the building when they felt heavy stomping that shook the ground and heard a powerful scream-howl. After topping a ridge and shutting off the vehicle, the witness saw a tall hairy biped about 30 feet away running away and knocking over a small tree. The witness and his son were deer hunting from a blind in darkness before dawn. After the son woke the sleeping witness, they heard something large moving fast through brush behind the blind. It screamed, stomped hard enough to shake the ground, snapped limbs, and grunted and growled before leaving quickly. The pair then left the area immediately.

The witness reported a strange smell and a growl-like noise from in front of the car, then turned on the headlights and saw a large long-haired figure with large eyes leaning on a gravel pile. They left the area, with the companion later saying something large ran toward the road.
