Late at night the witness went onto an elevated deck after hearing brush noise and animal sounds. Something heavy walked up a ground-level dock and stopped directly beneath the deck. The witness saw only a large dark shape through the boards while it made loud sniffing breaths, then fled back inside.

The witness was scouting a creek in full camouflage on a summer afternoon when he walked to within about 20 to 30 feet of what he first took for a broken tree stump. The shape turned, revealing a tall, dark-haired bipedal creature that locked eyes with him for about 15 to 20 seconds while both froze. The creature then turned its torso and legs separately and went up an 8-foot vertical road bank in one motion, crashing through timber out of sight.

When the witness stopped the sounds stopped, and when walking resumed the follower kept pace. The witness ran toward home and the follower pursued onto gravel and pavement on two feet while making low growls and calls and trying to cut the witness off. At the house the witness's dog confronted the unseen pursuer, which halted very close before withdrawing into the brush.

The witness and a relative were camped in a tent by a small lake after backpacking and scouting for elk. Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to branches breaking about 50 yards away followed by an extremely loud scream/howl he said he had never heard before. After a few minutes he heard more branches breaking, then nothing further. Frightened, he packed up and left with the relative about half an hour later.

The witness was walking on a dirt road in the evening when a gray-brown figure was seen standing between bushes at a distance. After the witness spoke, the figure made a loud grunt, then turned toward a second grunt heard deeper in the forest and walked away. The witness ran back to a relative, and a next-day visit found a broken branch and flattened vegetation but no footprints.

No visual contact was reported. The next day witnesses found a freshly broken/twisted sapling and barefoot-like prints of multiple sizes in a sandy area and made casts of tracks.

While fishing from a small boat with a companion, the witness heard a large heavy animal running through shallow water near shore, after which birds fled, the area went silent, and a bad smell was noticed. Looking back into an inlet, the witness saw a very large two-legged figure standing in tree shadows and swaying side to side before leaving.

The witness was camping overnight with a scout troop at a small crescent-shaped lake. After the group settled around 10-11 p.m., a very loud two-part call was heard three or four times from brush in a draw at the north end of the lake, sounding more distant each time. Shortly before dark the witness had noticed a strong musty odor near camp, and the youths in camp reportedly also heard the calls.

A Special Forces team training at Fort Lewis set up a patrol base and were repeatedly approached at night by unseen figures. They tracked larger barefoot prints, smelled rotten flesh and wet dog, and found a clearing with flattened brush and broken limbs high in trees. They withdrew to a road and flagged a truck for a ride, believing they had entered Sasquatch territory.

On Saturday morning they began hearing very loud guttural scream-growls that seemed to warn them away from certain areas, including the path to the lake, and the sounds continued into Sunday. Overnight they heard cooking gear clanging and a heavy thump like logs dumped beside their trailer, but in the morning the gear was largely in place and no logs were found, and the companion also reported a strong putrid smell.

In July 2005 the witness woke at night in a prospecting camp and smelled wet fur. The witness then watched a large figure cross a creek about 20 feet away for about 10 minutes until it stepped behind a tree and disappeared after a truck bed light was switched on. A relative was present at the camp but did not see the figure.

The witness was scouting a tributary creek of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie for a place to fish when he found large fresh tracks on both sides of the water. He then smelled a foul odor, felt watched, and heard repeated loud knocking sounds while returning to his car. He hurried to his car where his wife was waiting and left the area, saying he has not returned alone since.

The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

The witness was leaving for work when he looked toward a soccer field and saw a dark figure hunched down. He pulled his truck over to watch it because he worried about children getting off a bus. The figure covered the length of the field in a few seconds before he could react.

About 2 a.m., dozens of campers were awakened by loud prolonged screams from the woods east of the campground. Six campers entered the woods with flashlights toward the sound about 200-300 ft from the perimeter, smelled a foul odor and heard loud brush movement and wood cracking, then retreated. The screams lasted 20-25 minutes total, fading to the east with a similar sound from the south, followed by coyotes howling.

No full animal was clearly seen.
