While commuting to work in the morning, the witness pulled over to watch what they first thought was a bear sitting under a large pecan tree. After noticing a strong foul odor, they watched the animal stand, walk to the tree on two feet, and shake pecans from it. After the witness honked, the animal froze, turned to look, made a loud screeching noise, and ran quickly into the woods.

The witness was day-hiking alone in a remote wilderness area when they noticed a strong sickly-sweet, garlic-like odor they could not source. In the same area they heard a screeching vocalization they did not recognize as bear, mountain lion, or raptor. They also found large footprints near where they had eaten lunch, measuring about 14 by 6 inches, which they felt were not bear tracks but could not positively identify due to hard rocky ground.

While on night patrol, the witness responded to a companion's report of something standing by trees behind a building and shone a spotlight into the woods. A very large upright hairy creature holding a branch was seen, which then dropped the branch, looked back with red eyeshine, screamed, and ran away with a strong odor left behind. The witnesses later found a large pine branch torn from about nine feet up.

While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. They left the area without returning for prints after rain washed the site.

They then noticed a tall shadowy figure just beyond the firelight that turned to face them, showing eye reflection and a strong foul wet-animal odor. After staring for under a minute, the figure ran upslope through brush breaking branches, while the group shouted and then kept the fire up all night.
