Footsteps in Georgia (2025)
The witness and a fellow trainee were pulling night security in foxholes at a remote patrol base when they heard slow footsteps and had small stones and a stick land near them. The fellow trainee saw a tall boulder-like shape by a large pine that did not respond to challenge passwords, prompting both to fire blank rounds and the whole perimeter to open fire. The shape then left rapidly through the draw with loud crashing and a large splash in the creek, after which leaders arrived and joked about Bigfoot while the fellow trainee remained shaken.

The witness stayed with family in a mountain cabin and first heard handful-like objects hitting a window with no trees nearby. Two nights later she heard wood-on-tree knocks and a very deep growl near the road, then later that night heard a large rock strike the house, heavy thumps in dirt, and tree-knocking from the porch couch where she stayed awake until daylight. She believes two young Sasquatch were attracted by earlier rock-throwing play with her grandson.

The couple returned to the same road to measure the 2003 crossing and hike all day. They smelled strong urine and rotten-meat odors, found odd stacked limbs and other tree breaks, and watched a large limb fly over a cliff into the creek. Through binoculars the witness saw a black-furred being from waist up behind a tree staring back until it blinked, hid, reappeared, and later vanished by bending down. The husband saw an arm, they heard knocks, a whoop and running, and later found a large bare footprint in a creek bank and an impression behind a tree.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand off a power line in a state wildlife management area on a December afternoon. After hearing heavy breathing and movement, the witness observed a large black hairy human-like figure first on all fours then sitting and standing. The figure vocalized in gibberish-like speech, screamed, grunted, approached to about 30 yards and remained for an extended period before tearing vegetation and moving off. While the witness fled toward a truck, movement paralleled the witness in the woods while vocalizations continued behind, suggesting a second individual, and the witness fired a shot in the air before driving away.
Cabin renters have sighting outside Logan in Wayne National Forest
Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.
Object throwing in Ohio (2019)
The witness and three friends camped in the park in summer 2019 and hiked the towpath trail near the river after dusk. They had sticks then small rocks thrown behind them, smelled a pungent odor, felt watched, and fled. After stopping to rest they heard a loud deep growl and saw a very tall dark-haired humanoid in a weapon-mounted light before it stepped behind an oak and disappeared. They ran to camp, heard disturbances overnight, and in the morning found the campsite strewn about, a food pot missing, and two neat piles of large rocks by the fire pit.
Object throwing in Washington (2019)
The witness and his partner and young child drove to a remote area near a lake to hunt mushrooms and walked about a mile and a half to a marshy pond. While picking, a large log splashed down beside them, followed later by a large rock thrown from the tree line that splattered mud. They saw young trees shaking as something moved rapidly along the tree line without hearing vocalizations, then left and found a recently killed elk with torn hide and broken legs before hiking out.
Whistle near Pikeville, Kentucky (2017)
The witness hiked alone up the old coal road in darkness to get back in shape and pray. Loud bird-like whistling kept pace nearby, pebbles and rocks landed precisely at the feet, a large stick landed pointing at the witness, and loud trudging was heard. The witness backed down the road, then ran to a lit area as rapid movement rushed uphill faster than a person could move.
Unseen visitor unnerves 3 friends with repeated stick throwing near North Bend
Three friends were sitting in their parked truck at a pull-out at night after leaving an earlier site. They heard movement in the surrounding brush and something repeatedly struck the truck. Each time they got out they found the same small stick by or in the truck, and one witness saw it fly out of the bushes onto the hood. Frightened, they drove away.

The witness and a companion camped overnight on a remote section of trail while on a hunting trip. Through the night they heard whistles, a deep growl, a piercing scream and bipedal footsteps, saw a small figure peering from behind vegetation, and had a heavy log thrown into their fire pit. After firing a shotgun blast they heard crashing retreat, later found the camp destroyed with a tent lodged high in trees and gear snapped apart, and were pelted with rocks while leaving the area.
Property owner has daytime sighting, hears vocalizations for over two months north of Clayton
A couple scouting their wooded hillside property for a cabin site reported a brief daytime glimpse of a very tall figure that turned and ran, accompanied by whoops, movement sounds and a foul odor. That night both reported banging and stick impacts on their cabin lasting for hours. The next morning they reported finding large footprints and scattered sticks around the cabin.
Possible nighttime activity during a hog hunt on a ranch near Bryson
The witness and three relatives were hog hunting at night from two positions separated by several hundred yards. Around midnight they heard bipedal footsteps, grunting, whistling, whoops and reciprocal tree knocks, smelled a strong foul odor, and had small sticks thrown at their position. After a shot was fired into the ground, heavy running was heard moving toward the second position where glowing eyes were seen, and the group left around 2 a.m.
Family has multiple sightings and interactions in their backyard near Elgin
The witness reports nearly a year of interaction at a rural home property where food left in a tree was taken, rocks were tossed near family members, vocalizations and a strong odor were noted, and a large hairy figure was partly seen beside a tree. The family came to view the main animal as a gentle female and believed several others including young were present. Activity is said to have faded after new homes were built nearby.
Camper has nightime intimidation encounter in the Pine Barrens
While on a camping trip, the witness hiked off trail at night to set snares for food. He heard rustling and sounds of bipedal footsteps paralleling him and reported seeing a tall shadow behind a tree that vanished under direct light. A large branch landed near him, prompting him to fire a flare gun as a warning, after which something large crashed away through brush sounding like a heavy person running with long strides. He returned to find his companions asleep and did not report the incident until later.
Scream in Colorado (2013)
The guest took his two young sons camping in a steep Colorado canyon to practice survival skills. During the night they heard a loud scream from across the canyon that approached their camp within a minute. For hours something circled them just beyond firelight, snapping large branches, making heavy thuds, and later mumbling, whistling and throwing sticks. The guest kept a large fire and shotgun through the night until morning.
Late night sighting by a stranded boater on the St. Marys River
After their boat motor failed, two companions camped overnight by a campfire on the riverbank. Around midnight they heard something approaching through the woods, followed by loud growling, grunting, stomping and tree knocks. One of them shone a light across the narrow river and saw a head, shoulder and red eyes looking back before it retreated, continuing noise for over an hour. They left at first light and were later towed back to the landing.
Unexplained activity around a farm near Bondurant
The witness walked to a tree stand before dawn and heard whistles, footsteps, and a grunt while smelling a foul odor. The witness then saw two upright hairy figures, one about 4 feet tall and one about 6-7 feet tall, and one threw an object toward the stand. The witness yelled, climbed down, fled to an open corn field, and called a companion for a ride.

The witness and his wife were sitting by a campfire late at night drinking coffee when a strong sulfur-musty odor drifted into camp. A piece of wood then flew into camp and struck their trailer, and after the odor returned a rock was thrown into camp near them. The wife also heard distant screams that evening, and no other people were seen in the immediate area.
Stranded motorist has a daytime close encounter with an adult and juvenile near Lake Mack
The witness became stranded alone when a car sank in soft sand on a remote forest road. While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.
Possible nighttime sighting and vocalizations in a backyard near Old Ripley
The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.
