Rocks were thrown toward two of them from the woods, strange pacing, a low growl, and rhythmic booming sounds followed them. They found fresh green trees snapped and laid across the trail blocking the path, then were hurried out by more rock throws and close movement before the woods went quiet and normal night sounds returned near the car.

The witness was driving toward town in the morning when she noticed a large upright figure standing by the roadside. She slowed, maintained eye contact for several seconds as she passed within a short distance, and noticed a musty odor. After she passed, she saw in the mirror that the figure crossed the two-lane highway in two steps and disappeared into the woods.

The witness was lying in bed in an off-grid camper when surrounding animal sounds went silent. Over about an hour the witness heard a single knock, shed creaking as if pushed, rustling and footsteps on gravel, a possible growl and chewing, and a single whoop with no reply. The witness and a relative were night fishing across a creek from a short bluff when they heard crashing coming down the hill. They shone a spotlight and saw a large hairy figure crouched at the shoreline, then heard a second crashing nearby. The first figure entered the creek and stood in deep water up to its rib cage while they watched, after which both people fled without looking back.

The witness's father shot a doe in the jaw; it fell, then got up and fled while something was heard leaving in dense brush uphill. After an unsuccessful blood trailing, the doe was found the next morning on the main road with organs gone, neck snapped, and spine damage. Later the carcass was gone except for the detached jaw left on the road.

The witness returned home from work late at night and noticed a large figure crouched near a deer lick in the yard. He turned on bright lights and walked toward it thinking it was a poacher, then smelled strong body odor and mildew and realized it was not human. The figure stood up and they stared at each other before it left down a game trail into the brush.

The witness was driving east out of Fort Scott, Kansas into Missouri at about 4 a.m. when a hair-covered bipedal figure ran across the road in front of the headlights in two or three steps and disappeared into forest. The witness noted a brief bad smell just after passing the crossing spot.

The witness was driving home at night when the headlights illuminated a tall grayish-white upright figure starting to cross the highway. The witness stopped and watched it cross slowly from right to left, noting very long arms, a hunched posture, and a strong putrid odor through the open window. The figure glanced toward the vehicle and briefly raised an arm as if blocking the headlights before continuing across.

The caller was alone at night in a gazebo overlooking a lake on his grandparents' 40-acre property in northern Missouri in August 2011. He heard a single sharp knock from below the dam, then felt overwhelming fear and retreated to the house before returning. After shining a powerful green laser toward the swampy area, something crashed loudly down the hill breaking trees, and next day he found freshly snapped trees.

The witness was camping in brush with family members. About 4:30am on the first night he awoke to a strong skunk-like odor and a feeling of being watched. He rolled over and made out a very broad-shouldered silhouette with a head between trees about seven yards away. Two companions were quietly floating in a canoe on a dark creek at night when they startled something standing at the creek edge. They heard heavy bipedal footsteps exiting the water, displacing water and making waves, then moving onto the bank. A large rock then splashed into the creek very close to the canoe, after which the subject walked uphill into the woods. The witnesses stayed silent out of fear and never saw the subject because of darkness.
Huge animal screams and circles campsite at Finger Lake Park
Four people were camping around a campfire at Rocky Fork Lake in July 2004 when a large animal came from the woods to the south, circled the campsite three times at close range, and ran toward the lake emitting a high-pitched howl and pig-like squeals before running behind the camp. The group later noticed smeared foot impressions at the site, but rain had obscured detail and no identifiable evidence was preserved.

The son ran back to the house saying a large human-like woods figure had watched him from near the woods edge. The parent went outside and noticed a musky odor, which the son described as skunk-like. The son depicted the figure in a crayon drawing and reacted strongly when shown an image from a reported bigfoot film. No one else saw the figure.

Two companions walking a hillside trail at night heard a loud snap and saw two large bipedal figures silhouetted against city lights. After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.

The witness was bowhunting in the evening along a creek and field dike when rustling was heard behind. A large bipedal creature came over the dike, descended the near side to close range, paused to look around, then walked away along the creek out of sight.
