Deer hunter reports loud wood knocks where PCT passes Hyatt Lake
While deer hunting near Hyatt Lake, the witness heard a large object crash through the woods moving away. Shortly after stopping, the witness heard tree knocks from the same direction, then heard additional knocks behind while walking back to a truck on the main road. Despite aiming a rifle scope toward the sounds from under 100 yards away, the witness saw nothing and was frightened.
YESTERDAY (!!!): Bigfoot knocks (from multiple creatures) near Port Townsend
While walking alone in the afternoon the witness noticed a brief skunk-like odor and then heard repetitive knocking from the woods. The witness tapped a stick on trees in patterns and heard knocks returned in the same numbers, first from one direction and later from two directions. After a much louder wood-on-wood smashing sounded nearby and the other knocks stopped, the witness left the forest quickly without seeing the source.
Odor in Georgia (2025)
Two soldiers on a nighttime security patrol left the patrol base and noticed unnerving silence, cold air, a strong rotten odor, and sounds paralleling them and following behind. They heard a knocking sound and a whistle that mimicked their own signal, then encountered a large shaggy shape blocking the trail that rose from a crouch and walked away upright. They were found by an instructor about a mile from the base perimeter and later told by leadership not to discuss the incident.

The witness was fishing alone at a series of strip-mine ponds when he heard snorting, brush movement, and then loud wood-on-wood knocks that continued as he walked out. Two campers floating and fishing the Lower Buffalo River heard loud monkey-like vocalizations from the bank and later camped on a gravel bar. Through the night they reported repeated wood knocks, yells, chatter, whistles, a tree snap, and cantaloupe-sized rocks landing in the river from the ridge across from camp. They lit the camp, kept fire watch in shifts, and at dawn packed and paddled out after a final rock fell in front of them.

The witness stayed with family in a mountain cabin and first heard handful-like objects hitting a window with no trees nearby. Two nights later she heard wood-on-tree knocks and a very deep growl near the road, then later that night heard a large rock strike the house, heavy thumps in dirt, and tree-knocking from the porch couch where she stayed awake until daylight. She believes two young Sasquatch were attracted by earlier rock-throwing play with her grandson.

They smelled strong urine and rotten-meat odors, found odd stacked limbs and other tree breaks, and watched a large limb fly over a cliff into the creek. Through binoculars the witness saw a black-furred being from waist up behind a tree staring back until it blinked, hid, reappeared, and later vanished by bending down. The husband saw an arm, they heard knocks, a whoop and running, and later found a large bare footprint in a creek bank and an impression behind a tree.

The witness and a companion were hiking a loop trail when they heard a very loud, sharp knock from a steep hilltop above them. They stopped to scan the ridgeline but saw nothing due to dense vegetation. The witness then heard a brief sound of movement in the brush uphill before they continued back to the trailhead.

Over about four years the household noticed odd sounds, smells and disturbances around their wooded Texas property. They heard voice-like calls, hoots, growls and repeated wood knocks, found scat, stripped and snapped trees, and missing bait. A wide bare footprint with a deep heel was later found in a raised garden bed after crops were taken, though neither person ever saw an animal.

After moving to western Pennsylvania, the witness took his dog for a hike on Quarry Trail in Linn Run State Park. Something paced him in thick hillside brush, stopping when he stopped, followed by two tree knocks and a loud deep scream from further up. On the return the dog acted alarmed, watching the brush behind him until they reached a rock outcropping and left. A researcher later visited the same area and photographed a bare human-like footprint and overturned rocks.
Wood knock in Virginia (2019)
The witness and a friend camped in a hollow below the family home and jokingly made tree knocks and whoops. Knocks and ape-like whoops answered from multiple ridges and appeared to converse. Later something large circled camp, rushed in, stepped onto the tent tarp, made gorilla-like huffs above the tent, then left, prompting them to flee to the house and return next morning.

The witness arrived before daylight to deer hunt from a ground blind near a road above a steep slope. From inside the blind he heard coyotes, then hollering, rock-banging or wood-knock sounds, and whoops as something ran up the slope, crossed the road, and stopped in thick brush behind him. He then heard loud raspy breathing and growling and smelled a strong obnoxious odor for about five minutes before the animal ran away along the treeline and the woods went quiet.

Two hikers were descending a road when they heard multiple loud tree knocks, had rocks thrown past them, smelled an intense stench, and one of them saw a dark figure watching. They fled downhill toward their vehicle while using an air horn, heard a loud guttural whoop near the car, and reported being followed for several miles.

The [name withheld] and their partner were having a late-night bonfire on a beef farm while playing music. They heard tree knocks and whooping vocalizations coming from both in front of and behind them and noticed a very bad smell.
