The witness and a coworker were driving home in separate vehicles in the dark when both swerved to avoid a tall headless black shape walking unnaturally in the road. They returned to the spot and found a very large dog-like animal lying across both lanes that lifted its head, growled deeply, stood up on two legs to eye level, stared, then dropped to a crouch and left toward a fenced ditch. A small wet mouse then stood between the two men cleaning itself and showed no fear when nudged, after which both left for home.

The witness was driving slowly while road hunting in a gated clearcut area before dark. A large black figure stood up about 15 feet away on a steep downhill slope, showed agitated movements and cheek puffing, muttered and then screamed before leaving over a stump downhill. About an hour later the witness returned with two companions and all three heard pounding on trees and mumbled vocalizations before leaving.

In late morning in November 2006 the witness was walking a dog with a companion on a farm with cornfield and pine grove. The witness looked up and saw an upright honey-brown figure standing sideways with its head down, banging large rocks together. The companion did not see it, and when the witness looked back the figure was gone. The witness became frightened and asked to turn back.

The witness reported seeing a tall, large creature with yellow eyes watching her companion as he placed puppies in a fenced pen on 8 October 2006. She moved her young child to the porch while her companion remained unaware he was being observed. The witness was dropped by helicopter on a mountain top to troubleshoot a seismic line and hiked down alongside a large scree field. Hearing steady rock-rolling sounds, he approached quietly and watched a slender hairy female and two small juveniles foraging among rocks and putting items in their mouths. A much larger female then emerged and caught a small rodent, which a huge male rushed out to snatch and eat. After the animals stood and scanned the treeline while sniffing deeply, the witness radioed a bear alert, a helicopter buzzed the area scattering the group, and he returned to the helipad where the pilot said others had reported similar encounters.
