The next morning a previously intact rotten stump across the river was found split with half lying at the river's edge.

No tracks were found on hard ground but the path through the brambles was clearly visible.

They returned around 2-3 AM, one friend woke saying keep driving, and the driver later gripped the wheel, told the witness to turn off lights, and appeared stroke-like. After lights were turned on the driver had no memory of the night, and the group stopped ghost hunting.

Moments later he saw a very tall, heavily built, dark brownish creature about 70-80 feet away that had been digging at a ground hornet nest. The creature then ran rapidly down one ridge and up another at a speed the witness felt could not be matched, and disappeared. The witness then collected his things and left for his car.
