Two companions grouse hunting in a wooded gorge heard loud screaming-growl vocalizations from about 30 yards away in dense cover. The source moved around them with audible footsteps in snow and breaking branches, seeming to flank them and get behind them. After several minutes they left the area quickly while looking back and did not return.

The witness waited alone in a small meadow while her husband hiked ahead with dogs. A strong putrid smell arrived with total silence as a huge dark mass approached to the wood line about 25 feet away and watched her for about ten minutes. The witness was uncertain whether the sounds and sighting involved the same animal and noted a bear as a possible alternative, only later considering Bigfoot after finding a website.

A couple left the trail to take photos by a creek. They heard loud deep roaring, scream-like and growl-like vocalizations approaching from across the creek, along with large branches breaking, and believed something was circling them. After the sounds stopped they felt watched, fled down the trail, and heard a large animal tracking them along the creek.

Four men were driving south late at night towing a loaded travel trailer when a tall dark form ran toward the road on two feet. The car passed in front of it, but the trailer struck it with enough force to lift the trailer off the ground. The occupants stopped, backed up, and inspected the vehicles and roadway but found no body, blood, hair, or damage.

A large camping group found a hut-like structure made of snapped boughs and filmed it in detail. While examining the structure, a group member pointed out a distant figure moving along a ridge. Four people stopped at a turnout on Highway 17 ascending toward La Manga Pass in the morning. After one person in the party gave a whoop, they heard three loud roar-like vocalizations with pauses between them. They saw no source and left quickly, later noting the sounds resembled an Ohio howl recording and acknowledging a human trick was possible.

The witness, then a teenager, was playing with a companion on a relative's wooded property when the companion came running back in panic. The witness then saw a tall, bulky, dark-brown-furred figure standing about sixty feet away beyond a gate, poking the ground with a stick. After briefly watching, the witness fled to the house, and a later search of the area found no tracks or other sign.

The witness was working horses near the barn on an overcast afternoon when the mares looked toward the woods. The witness saw an upright light-grey figure at the tree line, first thought to be a teenager in a heavy coat, but noted long hair-like covering and non-human swaying. While riding as a passenger east on I-40 near Hydro, Oklahoma, the witness saw a very large black hair-covered biped emerge from a treeline. The creature walked to a creek, squatted at the edge, and moved a hand in the water before the witness lost sight of it. The observation lasted about five seconds in clear early-evening conditions from two to three football fields away.

The witness followed to a hilltop to watch it walk through young trees before it disappeared into a swamp.

After the witness mimicked the sounds, a large hairy biped crossed the road about 60-70 yards away and paced back and forth, repeatedly stopping in the road to stare at the witness. The witness described upright human-like walking, long arms at the sides, hips wider than shoulders, and an extremely large foot. The animal eventually left into thick bushes leading to heavy fir.

The witness parked by a river to fish for steelhead on a rainy winter afternoon and heard two loud whoop-like bellows. While wading downstream the witness saw two tall, hair-covered figures standing motionless across the river and noticed a cocoon-like bundle of grass on a root wad. After fishing back upstream the witness looked back to find the figures and object gone, and a return visit the next day was blocked by flooding.
Motorist has nighttime sighting of animal along Interstate 75
The witness was driving alone late at night on Interstate 75 south of Cincinnati when headlights illuminated a tall dark-furred bipedal figure standing in a recess of a road cut. The figure, estimated at 6 to 6.5 feet tall, stood motionless with arms raised to shoulder height and stared at the car for a few seconds as the witness passed within about 15-20 feet. The witness described an angry humanlike face without a bear-like muzzle and felt frightened.

The witness reported rounding a sharp curve on a two-lane road at night with headlights illuminating a standing figure on the roadside very close to the car. The figure appeared hunched and swung its arms in a manner the witness interpreted as angry or about to jump into the road.
