In June 2008 around 9:30 p.m., the witness was walking with a child along a road toward a farm when a strange high-pitched howl and musty odor were noticed. A tall, hairy human-like figure emerged from a cornfield and followed at a distance as they hurried toward a waiting vehicle. When vehicle headlights were turned on, the figure paused, vocalized again, and retreated quickly into the corn. The waiting adult also heard the vocalization.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a westbound vehicle on the highway when he saw a tall, single-colored figure crossing the road ahead on an incline. The witness and a coworker were driving home in separate vehicles in the dark when both swerved to avoid a tall headless black shape walking unnaturally in the road. They returned to the spot and found a very large dog-like animal lying across both lanes that lifted its head, growled deeply, stood up on two legs to eye level, stared, then dropped to a crouch and left toward a fenced ditch. A small wet mouse then stood between the two men cleaning itself and showed no fear when nudged, after which both left for home.

They watched a fur-covered figure crouched at the water's edge drinking with its hand. The figure stood to at least eight feet, stared at them without blinking for a minute or two, then resumed drinking as the two left in fear.

In late morning in November 2006 the witness was walking a dog with a companion on a farm with cornfield and pine grove. The witness looked up and saw an upright honey-brown figure standing sideways with its head down, banging large rocks together. The companion did not see it, and when the witness looked back the figure was gone. The witness became frightened and asked to turn back.

The witness reported seeing a tall, large creature with yellow eyes watching her companion as he placed puppies in a fenced pen on 8 October 2006. She moved her young child to the porch while her companion remained unaware he was being observed. Later that night her companion encountered something very large approaching on foot, prompting him to run inside and lock the doors, concluding it was not a bear.

Hearing steady rock-rolling sounds, he approached quietly and watched a slender hairy female and two small juveniles foraging among rocks and putting items in their mouths. A much larger female then emerged and caught a small rodent, which a huge male rushed out to snatch and eat. After the animals stood and scanned the treeline while sniffing deeply, the witness radioed a bear alert, a helicopter buzzed the area scattering the group, and he returned to the helipad where the pilot said others had reported similar encounters.

The witness was riding a quad alone on a straight power-line trail on a warm day. A man in a blue tracksuit and sunglasses came out of the woods and jumped straight up onto a tall rock without bending his knees, landing in a frog-like crouch with his head bobbing. Startled, the witness turned around and rode back to the truck, seeing the figure still perched on the rock as he left.

The witness was deer hunting on a friend's wooded property in Pennsylvania during buck season in 2005. From a ridge he watched a single hairy biped for about 10 to 12 minutes as it broke a small pine tree, investigated the stump, and appeared to eat ants from a rotten stump. The creature sniffed the air, showed no aggression, then walked away apparently unaware of the witness. The witness noted an apparent left arm injury and described the animal as about his own height, thin, and more human-like than expected.

A group of seven hikers were hiking on a mountain trail in the afternoon. They heard cackling, yelping, growling and moaning sounds and found the trail blocked by a large uprooted stump with placed boulders and smashed trees. Two upright figures, one black and one light brown and hairy, were seen moving parallel to the group and leaping down a cliff, while the group felt stalked and watched as they hurried out to the road.
Long-duration daylight sighting (distant) on Moscow Mountain
Two companions resting on a high rock overlook watched a large dark biped and a smaller blonde biped moving below in a clear-cut and on a fire road. Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.
