The witness was waiting with his son and daughter when their dog became agitated and stared uphill. They walked down the road and up toward old stumps where a short yellow-haired individual kept stumps between itself and them. At about eight feet under fallen logs it hissed and swatted at the dog while the daughter ran downhill, and the witness did not crawl under to look closer.

He heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching, then saw a white-haired gorilla-like creature about 20-25 feet away. The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

When the witness was about seven, the family found very large footprints on a Lake Superior beach. While leaving through the woods toward the car they heard loud screeching and something large jumping nearby without being seen. They left quickly in the car, with the witness feeling the source was too big to be people.

While fleeing the farm on foot, the witness left the gravel road and became stuck in deep swamp muck and water. A large hairy bipedal female emerged from the tree line, waded to him, lifted him by his jacket, carried him back to the roadside ditch, and left. The witness was camping with family and climbed a hill with cousins, rolling rocks from the top. They heard crashing in aspens across a ravine and saw a tall, long-haired figure standing on two legs about 300 feet away watching them for several minutes. After watching it rock back and forth, the group ran back down the hill. The witness maintains decades later that it was not a bear.

In 1971 the witness was alone watching TV at the parents' rural house near Myrtle Point. After hearing dogs bark, smelling a strong foul odor, and hearing footsteps on an outside plank, she saw a tall hunched hairy female figure pass a glass door. The figure stopped, turned toward her and made eye contact, after which she fainted and was later found on the floor by her parents. Her father searched outside with a flashlight but found nothing.

The witness, then ten, was accompanying a relative on a deer hunt on Peavine Mountain when both heard a long siren-like call from a shadowed draw to the west. The call lasted 15-20 seconds and was repeated multiple times, seeming to move farther away. The relative dismissed it as a fire-tower siren and ended the outing, and they left without further incident.

A man and woman were found dead at Brown Springs, the man with his neck broken and thrown from a car hood and the woman showing signs of assault and abdominal tearing. Large fresh tracks were reported near the gravel road scene. The case was described as unsolved with evidence kept quiet.

In 1968 the witness, then 16, rode a bicycle to explore an unfinished campground area and stopped by a new bathhouse. Across the river they watched two large, hairy, bipedal animals chase a flock of about 50 sheep around a fenced pasture for 20-30 minutes. After dark they hid in the locked car overnight and reported the event to their parents in the morning, later learning several sheep had been killed with bellies and internal organs eaten.

The witness was on foot hunting bears near a small clearing when he spotted three brown hair-covered animals scuffling as they moved away.
