Two brothers were deer hunting and walking the center of a dark highway back toward town at night. Two unseen animals on opposite sides of the road screamed repeatedly, closed distance, and paralleled their movement. The men stood back to back, shouted warnings, and fired rifles until the sounds stopped and headlights appeared.

A strong putrid smell arrived with total silence as a huge dark mass approached to the wood line about 25 feet away and watched her for about ten minutes. She felt internal terror and a sense of being mentally checked out, pretended normality by doing beadwork, and knew it left when the smell faded.

While returning toward the road the witness turned to see an upright, brown, long-haired animal about 60-70 yards away that immediately leapt into dense timber. The witness was uncertain whether the sounds and sighting involved the same animal and noted a bear as a possible alternative, only later considering Bigfoot after finding a website.

The car passed in front of it, but the trailer struck it with enough force to lift the trailer off the ground.
