She never opened the tent to look and concluded from the stride and sounds that it was not human.

Two brothers camped overnight beside a lake in the park. During the night and again after dawn they repeatedly heard a loud aggressive exhale-like sound nearby, along with footsteps and branches breaking as something moved through the forest, followed by scream-like sounds that turned into chatter. In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

After a scream-roar and standoff where he lowered his aim off the juvenile, the adults retrieved the juvenile and withdrew silently to the treeline. The witness reported walking back along a trail after making calls with no response when he found a very large footprint and a scat pile containing vegetation and shell fragments. Moments later he saw a very tall, heavily built, dark brownish creature about 70-80 feet away that had been digging at a ground hornet nest. The creature then ran rapidly down one ridge and up another at a speed the witness felt could not be matched, and disappeared. The witness then collected his things and left for his car.

Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. In the morning an indistinct disturbance entering camp and a freshly snapped tree stump were found, and while hiking out the witness felt watched.

The being stared, rocked side to side, and repeatedly leaned to pull bark from a large pine tree. While scouting for bear season in the same Minnesota swamp area, the witness was pushed from behind into the swamp. Turning, he saw a large but thin, mangy-looking human-like creature moving away 40 to 50 yards distant. As he left, it paralleled him for about a quarter mile, repeatedly stepping toward him then backing away with trembling shoulders and hands, curling its lip and displaying. A week later he returned, found a 14 3/4-inch track showing it had circled him, felt watched, and heard a loud double whistle near the old driveway.

The witness and three companions turned five dogs loose at night when powerful screams were directed first at the men then at the dogs. Something bipedal with heavy footsteps ran fast left to right toward the dogs, silencing them. The dogs were found wedged in a road culvert and had to be pulled out. Through the imager he watched a large unclothed human-like figure partly behind a tree about 30-50 yards away for over two minutes as it moved its head, dropped to the ground, crawled and gestured, then stood motionless with its back to him. He left to get recording equipment, but the figure was gone when another researcher checked moments later.
