After poultry losses and a daylight yard sighting by his wife and mother of a tan long-legged tailless animal with pointy ears and a canine muzzle, the witness set a game camera that failed to capture expected animals. Days later he saw it watching from the rimrock and shot it with a .223. It knocked back, left blood and clawless cat-like tracks, then disappeared with no further killings.

The witness was alone in a tent at camp while elk hunting and trying to sleep. He heard an unusually deep throat-clearing sound, then about 20 minutes later heard two rocks land near the tent with loud thuds. Shortly after, he heard drawn-out whoop-like calls coming from multiple directions around camp. He remained in the tent overnight and left after sunrise without checking for sign.

During the night they heard a loud scream from across the canyon that approached their camp within a minute. For hours something circled them just beyond firelight, snapping large branches, making heavy thuds, and later mumbling, whistling and throwing sticks. The guest kept a large fire and shotgun through the night until morning.

The witness and a companion were camped at Surprise Lake at dusk when they heard patterned knocks and rock-on-tree sounds. After the witness threw a rock against a tree and heard a similar sound returned, they saw a large brownish-red animal squatted and swaying behind a tree upslope. They attempted blurry photos while knocks were heard from behind the camp and from the animal's direction before leaving at first light.

The witness was bow-hunting elk and reported hearing knocks timed to his steps near a clearing in the afternoon. He then watched through binoculars as a large hair-covered figure struck a log against a dead tree. While camped for an elk hunt, the witness was asleep in a staked tent when he felt it being steadily dragged. He stayed still without turning on a light and heard no footsteps or breathing as the movement stopped. At daylight he found the tent shifted outward with stakes pulled, no tears or tooth marks, and an old elk jaw lying at the doorway.

The witness and his wife were bedded down in their pop-up camper at night when they heard lapping sounds and their skillet rattling outside. The witness opened the camper door expecting a bear and saw a large dark upright shape about forty feet away moving swiftly into the timber. The camper shook strongly as the animal left while nearby dogs barked. In the morning no tracks were found and they could not recreate the shaking.

The witness and three companions camped over multiple rainy nights. They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window. When leaving they later found muddy primate-like handprints high on the camper and a trailer lock twisted and broken.

The witness was looking for rocks in a forested area in the early morning and returned to the parked car to find the windshield wipers flipped outward. The witness then noticed a dark crouched mass at the tree line first taken for a bear. After getting into the car and slamming the door, the witness saw the figure stand about 7-8 feet tall and run away over a rock mound, then drove away.

On the second night the guest and his friend heard loud howl-screams approaching rapidly from the valley below. As they ran for the car the guest fell, was helped up, and felt a stick hit his legs while glimpsing a dark crouched shape behind him. The friend reported seeing a tall hairy man-like creature close behind, and both fled, later concluding it was a Bigfoot.

The guest and his friend were sleeping in a tent on the first night of a weekend camping trip when they heard sticks breaking and heavy movement approaching. Something pressed into the side of the tent by the friend's head and then moved down the side as if a hand dragged along it. Both fled to the car, saw nothing when they lit the area, and slept in the car.

At age twelve on a family road trip, the witness stepped half-asleep out of the truck camper after midnight to relieve himself. A large dark figure sat on its haunches on the path to the river about twenty to thirty feet away, backlit by the moon. After a frozen stare the witness shut the door, heard distinct bipedal footsteps, then a fist-sized rock and a freshly ripped branch struck the camper.

In the early 80s the father camped alone at a secluded bow camp and heard something large walk in talking gibberish like a drunk man and root through camp. It circled the tent and pressed a finger down on the canvas, leaving a half-moon cut, then left toward a second babbling voice on the hill. On a later return visit a green aspen blocked the road with no wind and structures were noted.

The witness and a companion were alone at the witness's parents' house at night when they saw a head looking in through the front door. They retreated to a bedroom without curtains where they heard breathing and scratching and saw a hairy hand against the window screen. The companion fired two shots that missed, and the figure ran away. A sheriff who responded found bullet holes but no blood or footprints.

The witness and the witness's father drove to a mountain quarry to sleep in their vehicle for a morning deer hunt. In the middle of the night something slammed the side of the heavy truck and rocked it violently. The father rushed to the driver's seat and drove fast for about 100 miles to the next town, later saying only that a face had looked through the truck window.

While on a group hunting trip in the mountains, the witness heard whoops in the early morning. In the morning a nearby camp said their tent had been pelted with rocks around 1 a.m. and wondered if the witness group had done it. The teller noted many things can make such sounds.
Sasquatch sighting in Colorado
The witness was on a muzzleloader hunting trip and camping with two companions. While two men rested in the tent during rain, something struck the tent fabric hard several times. Later, as the group sat around the campfire near dusk, the witness saw a very tall grey bipedal figure moving away through lodgepole pines. He and a companion briefly pursued it but it moved out of sight.
