The witness reports never seeing any animal or person.

Late at night the witness walked to his work vehicle to retrieve cigarettes and a phone. After closing the vehicle door he heard something strike a nearby building, followed by loud whooping calls that lasted a minute or two. The witness and her husband were awakened after midnight by strange sounds from their children's bedroom heard through a baby monitor, including squeaking at the window and a thump against the house wall. After the husband turned on exterior lights, the witness saw a large shadow move quickly away from the house toward nearby woods. Shortly after, both heard a very loud double whoop vocalization twice, which the husband said could not have been an owl.

After noticing a foul litter-like odor, the witness heard a loud knock, whistles, and rustling, then had large rocks repeatedly thrown toward camp. A few days before a tree-treatment job, the witness drove to a turnaround at the end of a logging road to wait for a contact. He heard a loud snap, heavy running footsteps, tree movement, knocks, three whoops, pebble impacts on the truck, a loud yell and a throaty shriek, and glimpsed a dark figure. He left and met his contact at the paved road.

After moving to the property the household repeatedly heard tapping on glass and slaps on the exterior walls, but found nothing when checking with a spotlight. Chairs left outside were found turned upside down in the morning. Strange whoop-like sounds were also heard from across the canyon and were initially attributed to bears or people.

Three people camped on an island area at Keystone Lake and heard repeated grunting and howl-like vocalizations after midnight. After two people kayaked back to the cars and two returned, the two in kayaks had two very large rocks land in the water near them as they approached shore in darkness. A thud was heard and felt on the road and a boulder that had not been there when they drove in was found in the road. They later heard a very large animal moving away breaking branches, found no sign after sunrise, and left to hunt elsewhere.

In the middle of the night the camper was shaken several times, prompting one witness to go outside with a flashlight. He heard something walking in the timber but saw nothing when he shone the light, then after returning inside heard a series of loud whoops from a distance.

The witness camped alone at a remote alpine lake and saw a black shiny shape on a ridge during a day hike that stayed motionless when called to. The witness and a friend heard strange high-pitched screams on successive evenings while hunting. The witness reports sleeping aboard a boat moored in a marina slip and repeatedly hearing a heavy visitor come down the metal access ramp late at night and walk across the floating docks, displacing the dock enough to rock the boat. The steps sound widely spaced and cover the ramp and dock sections unusually quickly. The pattern recurred at least once each summer holiday over several years, with a bucket of fish offal sometimes found emptied afterward and whoop-like vocalizations also heard.
