Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.

Two people were canoeing at night when a rock landed very close to them in the water though the distant shore appeared desolate. During the night he heard unknown noises, a cough/grunt sound, whistles, rocks thrown toward him, and a very loud crash near his hammock. He smelled a skunk-like odor and felt watched as he packed up and left, then continued his trip by bus.

The witness was waiting at home for grandchildren to return when she saw a large dark bipedal figure crossing an open field and heading out of town. She estimated its height from nearby trees and heard it roar and bang trash bins or dumpsters as it moved southwest behind houses and a store. Dogs and coyotes howled as it continued toward a racetrack and treed creek area.

The witness was driving a water truck north of Fort McMurray and stopped for caribou crossing. Two bear-like animals approached and stood upright, revealing a tall brown female and a smaller black young male. A much larger male carrying a caribou appeared behind the truck, roared, charged, and struck the truck as the witness drove away, leaving a dent.

The witness became stranded alone when a car sank in soft sand on a remote forest road. While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.

The witness and a helper played recorded calls in a research area. After each playback they heard an aggressive grunt in reply. After the last playback something threw a rock described as baseball-sized toward them.

Around 3 a.m. a huge heavy presence breathed deeply, smelled of wet animal and strong body odor, moved around the tents while the forest went silent, terrifying them until sunrise when they packed and left without speaking.

Later the two awake witnesses heard a loud knock on a tree near camp and then bipedal footsteps circling the tent, including contact brushing the tent, before the sounds moved away. A daylight check found no tracks.

Two companions were night fishing at a reservoir when they heard tree knocks and unfamiliar calls that seemed to get closer. They decided to leave and found one of two large catfish missing from the back of the truck, then the companion was struck in the chest by a small thrown rock. Frightened, they packed up and left quickly.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

A large log crashed into the river nearby and was seen floating, followed by a low huffing sound, though no creature was seen. Possible nighttime encounter by a couple camping in the Jemez Mountains
The witness and a companion were sleeping in their vehicle at a forest campsite. During the night they heard something rubbing against the vehicle, knocking items over, and rummaging around camp, including toppling chairs and a canopy. The companion, while lying down, reported seeing a tall black shape pass the window and leave away from roads. In the morning the chairs were overturned and the canopy was found upside down about 20 feet away, with otherwise little disturbance and no clear prints.
