The next morning they found widespread broken limbs and a snapped tree but no footprints, and did not return.

A next-day search found no tracks, but they measured the door window at seven and a half feet above the ground.

The witness and two companions were camping on a secluded river property in southern Ohio and hiked a steep hill to a rocky outcrop. A very loud scream likened to a banshee came from the campsite area, followed by intense coyote vocalizations and intermittent rustling as they hurried down. No person was found at the bottom, and years later they recognized a similar sound on a Bigfoot television show.
