Odor (1977)
The family heard a radio news bulletin about a Bigfoot sighting coming their way. That night hunting dogs reacted violently on chains, farm animals were agitated, lights were turned out, guns were retrieved, a strong bad smell was noticed outside, and one dog was later missing.
Object throwing in Texas (1977)
The witness says that for several years while hunting along a creek in East Texas he repeatedly had objects thrown past him and heard rustling suggesting something large moving around him. He never saw anything during this period and dismissed the incidents as natural at the time. He notes only he, his father and a friend used the area.
Property disturbance (1976)
The teller and companions camped in a marshy cedar area after being asked to watch for activity. One man bedded down in a canvas pitcher tent and said a large hand reached under and dragged him. They found large human-like tracks and a knee impression behind the tent, then heard distant screams and circling sounds through the night while keeping up a large fire.
Unusual incident... a horseback rider's close encounter
The witness was riding a horse on a wooded dirt road at dusk when the horse became agitated. After hearing rustling and a loud scream, the witness saw eyes and then a large upright creature that lunged out and seized the saddle. Face to face with the creature, the witness clung to the horse's neck as it bolted without looking back. The saddle was later described as torn with deep gouges.
Property disturbance near North Washougal, Washington (1972)
Around 10 at night something struck the house so hard the witness's head hit the wall and his mother was left speechless with fear. He found no vehicle or tracks outside. Walking up the long driveway toward a logging road, he sensed something about to pounce, drew a handgun, and ran back to the house.
Vocalization in Utah (1970)
The witness describes repeated nighttime experiences from childhood into late teens where he would fall asleep and wake up outside in a field without knowing how he got there. He recalls bruises, a sensation of being held, seeing his own body from above, a bright light in his face, feeling restrained, and hearing voices urging him to come outside. The episodes stopped after he left for college, with tapping on windows and scratching also reported.
Sasquatch sighting in Tennessee (1970)
The witness, recently out of the military, was fly-fishing with three relatives in a steep, remote river gorge. He turned to see an upright animal at close range that quickly climbed the steep bank to the ridgeline. The group then heard extremely loud guttural vocalizations and huffs, saw movement on the ridge, and had a large rock land in the water near them. They left at dusk and later agreed among themselves it had not been a bear despite one relative's dismissive explanation.
Movement only in Washington (1968)
While serving on active duty and assigned to guard duty at a military base, the witness's father and others in his unit responded to a report of noises at a newly installed perimeter fence. They found several fence posts pulled from the ground and saw movement. They ordered whoever was there to show themselves and then fired, finding no blood or other result, and the unit was shipped out much earlier than originally scheduled.
Man recalls possible encounter at a family cabin in Big Cottonwood Canyon outside Salt Lake City
In August 1964 two teenagers were walking back to a family cabin in Big Cottonwood Canyon after dark when they heard footsteps matching their movements and a low unearthly growl. They ran through a gully to the cabin and locked themselves inside. They then heard the nearby outhouse door open and slam, saw nothing when they turned on an outside light, later heard the door fling open with crashing in brush, and spent the night upstairs.
Memory told of a possible encounter while camping with Girl Scouts in the Pine Barrens
The witness was camping overnight with a large scout group near a lake when a large pot of food disappeared from camp. Throughout the night the group heard bushes thrashing, repeated tree knocks, and loud long whistles coming from different sides of the camp. Counselors kept everyone by the fire until daylight, when another scout group helped them leave and police were called but reportedly found nothing.
Tracks in Montana (1700)
Two trappers set up camp to trap beaver and found their camp demolished and human-like tracks around it. At night they heard rustling, smelled a foul stench, fired a shot and heard something flee. After separating in the morning, one man found his partner dead with a broken neck and bite marks and fled, blaming a wild man.
Witnesses hear, smell, and feel something large moving & walking right next to them
Late at night in heavy fog, the witness's wife went to the outhouse and encountered something very close that she heard moving and smelled strongly, then fled back inside. The witness went outside with a gun and flashlight but could see nothing in the fog, though he heard bipedal footsteps, noticed a strong odor, and heard a low screeching sound toward a relative's home. The next morning he found a barbed-wire fence broken down with nails pulled out but found no tracks or hair.
Two separate encounters with "thing" leave three friends scared, shaken and curious.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the witness and two companions heard screaming and metal being torn near junked cars below an old railbed. A very large presence came up the steep bank and stood close enough for its breath to be felt, accompanied by a foul odor. When the group fled toward the road it chased them with audible footsteps before stopping at the brush, and a heavy station wagon nearby was later found overturned and torn apart.

On a later visit with a young relative, the group found a large track and scat, took photos, had a rock thrown at them, saw movement, and saw a large bipedal creature on the hill.
Movement only
On Memorial Day Weekend 2014 around 6 a.m. while on the dock fishing, both witnesses noted movement and vocalizations across the road, then a stone thrown by the son was thrown back and cut his foot.
