Sasquatch sighting near Davie, Florida (1974)
A few nights later a loud scream and shotgun blasts came from a cattle rancher's property. While following a deputy's patrol car, the witnesses saw the creature run from the dark and be struck, stopping the car. It got up limping, struck the hood, screamed, and left toward the swamp. At the pasture the prize bull was found dead with its torso in one place and head about 100 yards away, followed by an all-night search with dogs and helicopters that found nothing.

After bedding down in an open three-sided shelter, the witness awoke around midnight to a strong odor and saw a tall hairy bipedal silhouette backlit by the campfire. The figure urinated onto the adjacent occupant's sleeping bag before stepping off the shelter floor and leaving. The group then left the isolated shelter for a more populated campground nearby.

In summer 1973 the witness and a companion boated to a steep forested hillside intending to climb it. Shortly after landing and starting to climb, rocks began falling from above through the trees, increasing from small to football-sized, forcing them to retreat to the boat. Rocks continued to fall in the water around them with one or two landing in the boat, and they saw no one throwing them.
Family members describe screaming and house smacking near Prairie Home
Five women staying overnight at a rural farmhouse heard loud piercing screams approaching from up a hill toward the house. A backlit tall, large-framed figure walking hunched over passed in front of the front picture windows and beat on the house, and a very hairy leg was seen when the front door was opened. The figure then went around the corner of the house and disappeared, leaving a burning skunk-like smell. Two men who had been away returned later and searched the large farm into the early morning without finding anything.
Man recounts childhood incident at his home on Oneida Lake
The witness, age 11 at the time, was in bed when a large shadow was cast on the bedroom wall from outside the window for about 20 to 30 seconds. A few minutes later the witness heard the back storage room door being ripped off and sounds of ransacking, including the freezer being opened and heavy objects moved. The next morning the storage room was found in disarray with the door off, faint scratches without tool marks, and frozen foods missing.
Four feral dogs chase sasquatch
On a clear night in August 1972, the 12-year-old witness was reading late in his bedroom when feral dogs chased something into his backyard. He heard heavy bipedal footfalls, a violent impact against the house corner and window, a grunt, and then a short deep growl directed at the dogs, followed by silence. The intruder then fled over a cedar fence as the dogs pursued, leaving a strong foul odor. Next morning the witness found a flattened flowerbed and trellis, a toppled lumber stack, and a tuft of hair of uncertain origin on the fence.

Guest age 7 and his grandfather saw a tall upright figure standing above the corn at the edge of the field in the evening and went inside. Later that night the guest woke to a strong odor and saw a dark hairy figure filling the bedroom window looking in, while his grandfather held a pistol. The figure moved to the front porch where the grandfather fired a shotgun through the screen door, after which it fled up the road vocalizing with screams and distant whoops.
Scream (1972)
A couple with the wife's mother camped on newly bought mountain land. After dark a very loud siren-like scream lasting seconds came from close in the woods, prompting the husband to get a gun. Later that night something leaned against the mother's side of the tent and she struck it with a heavy lantern. The husband later said he saw red eyes during the scream.

The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.
Nightime sighting at a Lake Milton marina
A teenager and an older neighbor spent the night on a boat at a marina to catch suspected vandals. During the night the teenager saw a huge hair-covered figure crouched at an overturned trashcan scooping garbage, then stand upright and stare briefly. The figure stepped over the trashcan, sprang up an embankment, and disappeared into brush, leaving disturbed dew, strewn garbage, and broken brush.

Around 10 at night something struck the house so hard the witness's head hit the wall and his mother was left speechless with fear. He found no vehicle or tracks outside. Walking up the long driveway toward a logging road, he sensed something about to pounce, drew a handgun, and ran back to the house.

In 1972 the witness camped with family in a van at a newly opened park at Beaver Lake in the Arkansas Ozarks. Late at night after a loud bang on the van and seeing a shadow, nearby campers fled, then the group watched a tall hairy biped with a dog-like snout descend a rocky ridge, heard a loud growl, and were pelted with gravel before fleeing the park before dawn.

The witness was playing on the back screen door at home in the evening while food was cooking inside. From about 50 feet away under a bright light, the witness watched a tall reddish-haired biped rip open a metal trash can and dig through garbage for about 20 minutes. A parent then pulled the children inside and shut the door, and the next morning trash was scattered and the lid was bent.

A group hiked to remote mountain lakes and fished. The witness heard branches breaking and a very loud wood-on-wood knock, then smelled a strong foul stench. Pine cones landed sideways next to the witness and large tracks were seen in smashed grass, with a sense of being watched and shadowed until leaving the plateau. No creature was seen.
Sighting and vocalizations at a home in Wayne National Forest
Late at night two companions were watching TV in a mobile home when they heard a noise at the front. The witness looked through the door window and described a large face peering in that then screamed and pushed away. Both went out the back and watched the figure step over a barbed-wire fence and run away hunched over with very long arms. A next-day search found no tracks, but they measured the door window at seven and a half feet above the ground.

As a teenager the guest heard a violent impact that shook the house and moved his headboard to the wall. He checked outside for vehicle damage and found nothing. While walking up the driveway with flashlights he felt strongly that a predator was watching him and ran back to the house.

The witness was sleeping in a tent with other campers during a Girl Scout overnight stay when she was awakened by something pressing on the tent and making grunting sounds. After she scratched the tent fabric and made a loud sound herself, she felt something solid outside and heard a loud grunt or growl followed by crashing away through the underbrush. The other occupants screamed, camp leaders said everyone was accounted for, and an unrecognized funky odor was noticed.

The witness, then a child living with a parent, repeatedly heard something going through trash cans without seeing an animal. One summer day while checking a newly planted flower bed, the witness found barefoot-like footprints in the soil and wondered if someone was looking in windows at night.
Vocalization (1970)
The witness and others were inside a makeshift shelter at a remote mountain camp at night with microphones placed outside. Loud rock clacking and snarling sounds were heard from about fifty feet away. The group remained inside with firearms, uncertain what the creatures intended.
Handprint (1970)
On a southern farm in the early 1970s horses repeatedly became visibly sweaty, panicked and ran the pasture with wide eyes the morning after nighttime disturbances. The family found braids in manes and tails and large handprints in sweat on flanks and necks. A neighbor's similar report helped them conclude Sasquatch-like visitors were molesting livestock.
