The witness camped overnight near a lake while on a solo backpacking trip with a dog. After dark the dog growled intermittently and the witness heard paired screams, rock sounds, and repeated hooting exchanges across the valley. Around 2 a.m. rocks landed in shallow water near the tent, followed by a voice-like sound, and at dawn the dog stared into the woods while the witness packed to leave. The witness reports never seeing any animal or person.

The witness heard repeated howls moving around the house in the early morning, starting close in the treeline and shifting to different sides of the property. After retreating inside, small rocks were heard hitting the porch roof for several minutes. The witness woke his wife and both heard additional more distant howls over the next hour before it became quiet.

Last summer the witness was kayaking down a creek around midday when rocks splashed near him. He looked toward the source and saw a creature kneeling like a person, which then stood, made eye contact for about 30 seconds, and ran through the woods. The witness and a companion were camped at Surprise Lake at dusk when they heard patterned knocks and rock-on-tree sounds. After the witness threw a rock against a tree and heard a similar sound returned, they saw a large brownish-red animal squatted and swaying behind a tree upslope. They attempted blurry photos while knocks were heard from behind the camp and from the animal's direction before leaving at first light.

Shortly after, a loud impact sounding like a stone hitting the metal guardrail was heard by both, followed by a second strike as she re-entered the vehicle.

Late in the evening the witness was sitting by an outdoor fire near a pasture when she noticed a head-and-shoulders outline above tall weeds to her side and heard a slight noise from that direction. She then saw a small limestone rock rolling nearby, which alarmed her because no natural cause was apparent, and she went inside. The next morning she found sticks, corn stalks and dirt clods in the driveway but nothing explaining the shape.

A couple camping alone in a state forestry heard large movements around camp all evening. Around 2 a.m. the husband saw a tall hair-covered biped beside their SUV and illuminated it before it ran past him over a gate into the woods. Later both heard knocks and rocks striking their tent for about an hour until a large rock tore the tent roof. Next morning they found partial prints and fresh bark damage before leaving.

A witness and his two sons were leaving an area where they had been setting turtle lines when the witness saw a tall reddish biped near a dirt road about a quarter-mile away that stepped into the woods. He stopped without describing it aloud, and a son asked if he had also seen it, indicating the son had seen the same thing. They found two barefoot-like prints beside deer tracks at the spot, but rain covered them before photos could be taken.

After one scream was mimicked and answered from farther away, they heard splashes and rocks landing in the water around them. They put out their fire, shouted a warning, then retreated to their truck as another rock landed nearby and left.

The witness was waiting at home for grandchildren to return when she saw a large dark bipedal figure crossing an open field and heading out of town. She estimated its height from nearby trees and heard it roar and bang trash bins or dumpsters as it moved southwest behind houses and a store. Dogs and coyotes howled as it continued toward a racetrack and treed creek area.
