The witness and friends camped at a small creekside site off a mountain road in late June 2018. After evening knocking sounds and a strong musky odor at night, a large human-like creature with yellow eyes appeared at the witness's tent, grabbed it, lifted and dropped the witness inside, then left in a few steps after a shot was fired. The group saw large footprints, later heard whoops from multiple directions, and had a basketball-sized rock thrown at their truck while leaving.
Property owner has daytime sighting, hears vocalizations for over two months north of Clayton
A couple scouting their wooded hillside property for a cabin site reported a brief daytime glimpse of a very tall figure that turned and ran, accompanied by whoops, movement sounds and a foul odor. The witness joined relatives and local researchers for an overnight camp on a flat mountain top. Around midday he saw a tall hairy biped cross a trail and disappear into a valley with gourds. That night the group heard wood knocks and exchanged whoops and howls with something that approached to very close range, then crashed away. Later rocks were flicked at the truck and next morning a muddy hand smudge and many tracks were found.

The witness reports nearly a year of interaction at a rural home property where food left in a tree was taken, rocks were tossed near family members, vocalizations and a strong odor were noted, and a large hairy figure was partly seen beside a tree. The witness was night fishing from a dock when an otter nearby suddenly fled. The witness then saw a large grey shape move quickly and silently between cover, followed by a large splash near the dock. Frightened, the witness left immediately and found large four-toed footprints on a return visit the next day.
Possible nighttime sighting and vocalizations in a backyard near Old Ripley
The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.
Possible nighttime encounter by a couple camping in the Jemez Mountains
The witness and a companion were sleeping in their vehicle at a forest campsite. During the night they heard something rubbing against the vehicle, knocking items over, and rummaging around camp, including toppling chairs and a canopy. The companion, while lying down, reported seeing a tall black shape pass the window and leave away from roads. In the morning the chairs were overturned and the canopy was found upside down about 20 feet away, with otherwise little disturbance and no clear prints.

The witness was supervising a crew clearing brush under a highway bridge in the morning. The group noticed a strange odor, heard persistent movement and muffled grunts, and watched something peeping from behind a tree. Later a skinned rabbit hung high in a tree disappeared, bare footprints larger than the workers feet were found in mud by a creek, and loud limb-breaking sounds caused the whole crew to flee.

Through the night the camper heard log-banging, close movement, breathing, branch breaking, a tarp strike, a grunt, a boulder throw and a tree being pushed over, and glimpsed an upright figure walking downhill toward a creek. At dawn the camper heard loud bird-like calls from multiple directions, and found large grass impressions the next morning.

Three people camping overnight near a creek reported prolonged howling in the evening and a close loud scream during the night. Through the night they heard movement around the tents, sticks hitting trees, branches breaking, and had objects disturbed including a tent stake pulled out. They also reported white eyeshine, a pungent odor, a dark figure seen in the treeline after daylight, and footprints and torn branches found in the morning.

The initial report of something big was brushed off until similar local reports months later prompted detailed questioning.

In early April 2006 around 2:30 a.m., the witness was inside his trailer when he saw a hairy figure staring through a nearby window. When he tried to shut his front door, something held it open against his push. He retreated, armed himself and woke his wife, but the figure was gone and only muddy fingerprints remained on the window.

The couple hunted an 80-acre property for years, finding straight-line tracks, a high snapped limb, and hearing knocks and strange ridge noises. A relative saw a tall black bipedal figure walking up the creek. Small objects left on stacked tin were moved and exchanged over several days.

After glimpsing brown fur duck behind a log, the witness heard an extremely loud low roar-like yell from behind with crashing, then heard crashing and throwing sounds staying out of sight while leaving for about 200 yards. No full animal was clearly seen.

After months of rabbits and chickens disappearing from locked hutches without feathers or remains, the witness went to feed animals after fresh snow. He found open doors and human-like footprints leading to the tree line and felt watched. He threw a stick at a trunk-like shape in the woods, which then stood and ran off on two legs crashing through trees. The family later moved cages closer to the house and continued to occasionally hear loud screams from the woods.

He waited several minutes but it never surfaced, then found a fresh bare footprint with clear toe detail at the water's edge.
