As they circled back, an unseen animal tracked them, producing a strong foul odor and a high-pitched squeal before thrashing off toward the mother waiting at the truck. They later found uprooted small trees, additional tracks in camp, hair on fencing, and a woody debris structure, and heard screaming and a howl that prompted a relative to leave camp.

The car glanced the creature, then the witness stopped and the creature got up, approached, and chased the car, striking the rear. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

In early August 1995, a couple fishing at a neighbor's pond near Addison found large footprints, hair-like material and disturbed vegetation. Additional prints appeared on subsequent days on different sides of the pond. State wildlife officials and university staff examined casts and samples but did not identify the source.

The witness describes repeated nighttime visits to a rural property over about a year by a family of large hairy creatures that ate fruit, looked in trailer windows, and once bit a penned hog. The witness reports seeing three individuals of varying heights, hearing frequent chattering, noticing odor, tracks and hair, and attempting to hunt them without driving them away. The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.

Whistle near Lake Quinault, Washington
A week after moving into the second house, the guest, his wife, and his visiting parents were awakened around 2 a.m. by a sharp whistle and bipedal footsteps outside and aggressive banging on the bedroom window unit. In the morning they found spaced impressions leading from the tree line to both bedrooms and around the house, a river stone atop the high window unit, and a large forearm-shaped hair impression above garbage.

A truck driver reported striking a large hairy biped that went into a ditch. Deputies searched the area without finding the creature but reportedly recovered coarse dark hair from the grill. The investigator has not yet located the report or deputy.

A forest ranger and his partner were driving fast in a large truck while looking for animals hurt by fire. Something stepped onto the road and they hit it, initially thinking it was a small bear but then realizing it was not. Officials later took the body and warned them to say they hit a bear.
