Witness has unusual experience in area of the Great Dismal Swamp
A couple sitting on a bench along a trail heard bipedal footsteps moving through dense brush across a canal, followed by chattering or popping sounds from two directions. After the witness knocked a branch against a post, a similar sound came from deeper in the woods. As they left near sunset without ever seeing the source, they heard a short loud scream described as between a whoop and a woman's scream.

The witness, working as a camp counselor, heard a loud unfamiliar howl-like call while walking back to her cabin late at night. The sound repeated about seven times over roughly 90 seconds and seemed to move closer and parallel her path, prompting her to run indoors. She later searched for physical sign without success and found the vocalization matched only alleged Sasquatch recordings she located online.
