Possible bigfoot stalking around RV campground 23 miles east of Honobia
A family was camped by their camper in daylight when a loud wood knock came from the treeline about 50 yards away. All family members turned toward the sound, and their leashed dog growled and stared toward the trees while trying to scent the source. After about 15 minutes they dismissed the incident.

A couple staying overnight in a yurt woke around 2 a.m. to loud howls coming from the east across the river lasting several minutes. About half an hour later they heard louder, closer hollering vocalizations from the woods to the west. They stated the sounds were unfamiliar and unlike a bear, coyote, or bobcat.

The witness and his wife arrived at a vacation cabin in light drizzle and began unloading their vehicle. After a nearby dam-release siren sounded, the witness heard a deep growl that changed into a howl, then a high-pitched scream, then prolonged wooing sounds lasting about two minutes. His wife came outside during the wooing portion and also heard it.

The witness and a companion went into woods behind a relative's house to investigate dead fish found earlier by a pond. While the companion stepped away, the witness heard a noise and saw a furry figure peeking from behind a tree 50 to 75 yards away. The figure stepped sideways into full view, and the witness fled running back to the house. The companion did not see the creature.

The witness and a relative found four large footprints and one large handprint in a single line on a steep bank beside a logging road. The prints were estimated to span 15-20 feet and were left in loose wash material. The next morning they marked the prints with taped sticks and filmed them with a video camera.

A relative told the reporter by phone that a man found three large hairy manlike creatures on his porch and yard. The man reportedly shot one with a rifle, after which two others came out of nearby forest and carried the shot one away. The reporter states the FBI was called and took blood and hair samples, and that the reporter later overheard game wardens on a scanner discussing the same incident.

The witness had split from a hunting companion to stalk along a forested ridge on a November morning. He noticed a large, dark-haired bipedal figure emerge below the ridge tip about 83 yards away and step beside a large oak. The two watched each other from behind trees for about three minutes, after which the figure left toward the woods following a loud snap the witness later attributed to an armadillo. He found no tracks on the hard ground.
