Cabin renters have sighting outside Logan in Wayne National Forest
Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.
Sighting by dog walker and more recent incident on Stone Church Trail (Wayne NF) NW of Shawnee
A couple of days after hearing unexplained howls on an evening hike, the witness stopped on the same trail to let her dog drink. She heard rustling on the ridge above and saw a very large dark-furred bipedal figure walking among trees about 50 yards away. It disappeared over the ridge crest before her husband could look, after being visible for several seconds.

The witness pulled off the road at night for a bathroom break while driving home with family. After hearing noise in the woods, he saw a face only a few feet away in the car lights and then fled in the car. His daughter, watching from the front seat, also reportedly saw the face.
While hiking with friends, eleven year old girl almost runs into 6' hairy creature
In summer 1978 the then-10-year-old witness was walking single-file with three companions through dense woods near Clouse Lake following a deer trail. After the woods fell silent and a strong odor was noticed, the witness rounded a large tree and encountered a tall dark-brown hairy creature with an almost human face at very close range. The witness yelled for the companions to flee, and the group ran to the lake parking lot; the companions did not see the creature because the tree blocked their view.
