Possible vocalization and approach to tents reported by campers on private land near Pilot Mountain
Three people were camping overnight in a tent on private woodland. During the night one person left the tent with indigestion and rekindled the campfire while the others remained inside. All three then heard a loud high-pitched yelp from the woods immediately around the campsite, prompting the person outside to rush back into the tent. The group stayed quiet and heard nothing further.
