The witness was hiking with a dog when the dog ran ahead toward brush about 40 yards away. The witness ran up and briefly saw the back of a dark head as something ran away into thick brush. After a few minutes of silence, footsteps were heard moving downhill away from the witness.

Five men were watching TV at a house when they saw a hair-covered biped walking on the street in front of the house. The figure passed under a streetlight about 150 feet away but was in silhouette, showing a hunched posture and broad build, before going behind trees into woods across the street. In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

A large branch landed near him, prompting him to fire a flare gun as a warning, after which something large crashed away through brush sounding like a heavy person running with long strides. He returned to find his companions asleep and did not report the incident until later.
