Loud scream heard at Yellowstone
Account
The reporter and six companions were spending the night in a cabin during hot July weather. Around 1 a.m. a very loud and terrifying scream/roar woke them and frightened the group. They stayed inside without turning on lights, and discussed the sound the next morning. The reporter felt the sound did not come from an elk, bear, or cougar, but from a very large animal.
